At last we have seen the supermarkets that the average worker can afford to shop in. Here in the UK as said we have Aldi and Lidl and a few smaller ones that allow us to make ends meet. More and more people are now having to shop there, the big four supermarkets have become very expensive unless you only buy the cheaper own branded items, and even they are not cheap these days. The sanctions by the west have backfired, as the stores in Russia have good stocks at far lower prices.

The amazing thing about Chizhik is also that most products there are made with GOST standard - a state standard of quality of products. That usually means that the quality is really good. A lot of products in Russia are made with TU or STU standards nowadays - they are usually a lot worse, because there is little to no penalty for manufacturer if it's uneatable and TU can be changed for everything however manufacturer wants. About prices in Russia. Prices have risen a lot in the last 2-3 years. For example, chicken eggs have become twice as expensive - about 105 rubles - a little more than 1 US dollar for 10 pieces (similar situation with the price of bananas, dairy products and many other products). But I watched American videos about the price of chicken eggs in the USA - there it several times more expensive and this price is not for 10 pieces, but, I think, for 6. There is no shortage of products in Russia - there are no empty shelves.
