Thank you for showing his boat to us. He was right about those Cats. Properly maintained they will last a very long time. Be safe and again, thank you!

A beautiful boat that's extremely well decorated, and the perfect size (for me).

I’ve fallen like James did, it hurts! Love the natural light, and room to roam. My parents bought a 41’ Cris-Craft, the entire cabin was teak wood that had been painted completely white, they lovingly restored it. My parents are no longer alive, and the boat was sold, but many nice memories remain.

That was a Beautiful Boat. It seems so much bigger than it is. I've seen 60, and 70 footers that didn't have that much space.
@TheSeaYallLife2 жыл бұрын
Agree! Absolutely amazing space!

Extremely nice boat. We don't have many Taiwanese trawlers around here. I've only seen them at shows.

Yes it is! Our DeFever was also built in Taiwan😊

Great boat. The one thing no one mentioned is the beam? I'm guessing somewhere around 17 ft. I always say length is good but beam is better.

I love this boat! love to know how much he bought it for and how much he put into it. To make it all homey etc... Also he said it was 50ft at what point do you need a crew? Legally I guess. I believe there is a size limit?
@TheSeaYallLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We love this boat too.😊 I do not know the answers as far as how much he bought it for and how much he put into it. Once you’re experienced, you definitely do not need a crew for a 50 foot boat. It just takes time and effort to be comfortable with that size. So spending time with an experienced captain to learn the ropes and get comfortable is key, and then after that you’re good on your own!

New sub here, and am currently going through your playlist. Love this boat ⛵ and James seems like a very awesome guy. I was wondering does he captain his boat solo? How difficult is it as a solo with this size to dock, anchor, cast off etc? Thanks and really like your videos.
@TheSeaYallLife2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Gwen! Yes, James does captain his boat solo. Anchoring typically isn’t very difficult. It is certainly not easy to dock; however, confidence grows with practice. I think our 44 foot boat is harder to get in the slip… we have less room on each side because it’s a smaller slip.😜 Thanks for the sub!
@GwenWittig2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSeaYallLife yes it will come with practice. I have future plans for a live aboard boat and will be solo, but I wanted something that I can bring my family (esp. grandkids) and friends on short trips, and am looking for not enormous but not tiny either. Thank you!

That’s so exciting! Those are our parameters as well… still deciding if our DeFever is it, or do we need a 50 when we retire!

Was this a 48' Seamaster? If not, do you know the model name. Its layout is different from most CHB's at this length
@jerrycallender9352 Жыл бұрын
How would James' boat be listed? In my search I've never seen his layout - 'motor yacht', aft cabin, what?
@TheSeaYallLife Жыл бұрын
Trawler or motor yacht
