If I'm not mistaken, it's a "landmark" for some EMUs which utilize semi-automatic driving (like braking on the way to train station) Contains permanent magnets, which are read by inductive pickup on the unit's bogies

For an example, these are a "reading" points for semi-automatic driving, class 661 supports this, my dad shown it, and it was awesome -these are for auto braking, accelerating and reading next aspect(only danger-pass-caution and "change" which is shown with a yellow circle with a black cirle in the middle)
