Let’s talk about the ref!! Perfect call to stop it! I watched the Mancini/Duk Koo Kim fight in 1982 and it affected me as a 12 year old kid. The ref never had a chance to stop that fight because both fighters were so fast. Great job ref in Ruiz victory

I'm going to look that fight up now as I vaguely remember it. I've grown up on boxing and we used to get all the fights free on terrestrial TV back then. I was 10 years old. Thanks for that brother
@nionegriffin3 ай бұрын
Refs these days get alot of abuse but my favourite ref ever was Mills Lane. No nonsense guy he let them fight and didn't spoil fights by constanstatly splitting them in the clinch. He used to say punch to get out. Legend that guy the best in my opinion.
@nionegriffin3 ай бұрын
@@joebudi5136very heavy handed Ruiz even then. Great stoppage the guys legs were totally gone. Body language was bad too. Got to protect the hurt fighter so he can fight another day as he was definately about to be knocked out or hurt more. Only takes 1 extra big shot to cause severe damage. Its not like he didn't give him a chance to carry on and fight back.

@TheAutumnWind_RN4L3 ай бұрын
@PIMPSTA951 idk, man. Styles make fights. I think Andy has a few things going for him. He's aggressive in every moment of all 12 rounds. He throws short, fast, non-telegraphic punches. His power carries into the later rounds. He won't panic if he suffers a knockdown. He just needs a trainer who won't let Andy be Andy outside of the ring.
@SoulJAHJustICE6093 ай бұрын
@@TheAutumnWind_RN4LBest way it's been written in comment sections yet. And I believe the broken hand is just a setback , not a destruction. And incredibly tough and ferocious fighter , just needs to stay disciplined. I write like that like I always do which I dont but still.

Regardless of the show at the beginning. He had to entry confident and that’s his style. Today he lost, I’m sure he has won several times before to build that character. @charlo86643 ай бұрын
When fighters are not humble and respectful before a fight they usually get KO or choked out (MMA). If you make fun of them people will say “ At least they have the courage to get in the ring “. Or “Are you in the ring?” You don’t have to be a professional fighter to comment or recognize that someone made a fool of himself.
