I wanted to change rear wheel tread setting on my 2860M. I wanted to do this without removing the entire assembly from the axle. I jacked one side up and I found that the center wheel section is so tightly wedged to the rim that I could not budge it while on the tractor. I think I will need to remove the entire wheel assembly and lay it on concrete floor and wack center sectionwith a sledge hammer to separate the wheel center from the rim. Have you any better option?

We've never had to do that should be able to loosen wheel center from rim and remove tire and wheel. But we also use a tire changer that we can jack up rim/tire assembly and get pressure off. Might want to loosen bolts while on the ground then jack up tractor if you don't have tire changer. Here example what we have as dealer to change and adjust tires: spaldings.co.uk/Files/Images/Ecom/Products/40599-item2-web.jpg

I know this video is more for the bigger tractors, but I noticed in my FL1805 loader manual for my GC that section 5.3 talks about minimum tread of 62 inches. My stock rear wheels are only about 33 inches. Any idea why that number is so high for such a tiny tractor?

The manual covers more than just the FL.1805 also covers the FLx2106 Loader. Based on the Center of Gravity and Height of Tractor this the Loader Manufacturer recommendations for Static Stability on 15° Slopes. Distance is measured in Middle of Tires. Since GC Series is Lower Profile Tractor the Center of Gravity is lower and to keep tires inside the Bucket the Minimum Tread Setting is reduced as these tractors are designed for flatter terrain and lesser degree slopes.

@@VahrenbergImplement Thank you for the reply. I didn't realize that it covers both loaders. That makes a little more sense now. I thought I might need to get dual rears on my 1723 to hit the 62" mark, lol!

If you're too lazy to pick up the center and demonstrate the various mounting positions on the rim, get some help.

Not too lazy but I do the filming by myself after business hours by myself to help our customers learn and others to learn too. Sometimes it's hard to hold camera and do everything with limit of two arms. Sorry it did not meet your satisfaction.
