Treating Bipolar Disorder

Living with mental illness sucks. I just got fired from my job because a new med added to my regimine sent me into a manic state. They thought I was getting high. Obviously they fired me for other reasons than this, but I KNOW for a fact I would still be employed there if that episode didn't happen. Anyone that doesn't got through it themselves, doesn't understand how debilitating it really is. It gets written off as being weak and not responding to what everyone goes through in lifw properly. Anyways, everyone out there that is going through this like me, my thoughts are with you. :/

Haha, your story reminds me of how I almost got fired from my last job. Dr put me on wellbutrin for two weeks to treat depression and it sent me straight into mania, people at work saw me working harder than ever and not stopping during my entire shift - just pure focus and energy. they thought i was high on meth or coke or something and brought it up with my boss, but luckily he understood it was just a change in medication and you can't legally fire someone on those grounds here. I get it tho, I was still manic for a little while after that and quit my job because of it. dont worry about what other people think of you; it is pointless and more harmful to yourself than their opinions. hope youre doing better these days
