You have explained my situation exactly!! I had no idea what was going on or what to do about it! I have IMO according to my SIBO breath test. I was jaundiced (my liver was taxed by something, but my liver biopsy was "normal"), I had symptoms of an over-active thyroid (hair falling out, iodine made everything worse, heart pounding, anxiety, feeling dizzy/lack of equilibrium, birth control pills were making it worse too, extreme fatigue, lump feeling in my throat but my thyroid ultrasound showed nothing), plus all the symptoms of gut dysbiosis (gas, stomach/gut pain, pain in my transverse and descending colon, more anxiety, more extreme fatigue and brain fog, pulse pounding in my neck, quercetin supplement made it worse (probably acidic), acidic foods made it worse, even vitamin C, burning feeling in my stomach when empty, feeling full after 1 sip of tea like I chugged a bottle of water but didn't, swirling lines of red dots going up my legs, my Neutrophils were plummeting, on and on). It seemed like all of my organs were overloaded. Omeprazole came to the rescue (as my saving bandaid). Upon reducing the acid, the jaundice went away, I had significantly less gas, my stomach pain went away, and then shortly after I put myself on a Low-FODMAP plus Low-ACID diet, which helped a ton too. I had cut out all iodine to get my hair to stop falling out and stopped the birth control pills. I had already been drinking a ton of Red Clover tea just as a general detox hope. Glad to know I should keep it up to help with the estrogen buildup! It took 7 months to find a doctor who had heard of SIBO and suggested I do the breath test. And now it's been another 3 months of me waiting for insurance to cover Rifaximin (but despite jumping through all their hoops, they still won't); I finally learned about getting it from a Canadian Pharmacy for cheaper, and I just put in an order (canshipmeds.com/). Hopefully, my story helps others with the same symptoms.

Well, thank you very much, you are the first person who made any sense of this estrogen dominance. My dr said "hey, you are very hormonal eh?" and prescribed a bottle of evening primrose. Didn't help much. Then I came across a progesterone cream which helps a bit with the symptoms, but is very expensive. I kind of thought there has to be more to it, as everything in our body is interlinked. Stress, pH, and detoxification makes sense. Hope you will continue your videos on this topic, there is much to learn.

Wow! This is so informative. I went to a holistic dr and was told I had estrogen dominance. I have IBS and fibromyalgia as well as struggling with high anxiety. He explained certain things to me but we were working on correcting my blood sugar, low blood pressure, and getting me in in AIP diet. We couldn’t even get to this stuff because I was starting from 0. Thank you so much. I am currently working on calming my nervous system, eat gluten and dairy free, and will go back to checking my blood sugar and slowly adding in your suggestions.

I have had my histamine levels checked both in blood and urine and it's normal every time. Even when I'm having heart palpitations. I don't think I have a histamine issue.

Can you make a video on estrogen mast cells and hairloss and herbal treatments especially for men?
@gutmicrobiomequeen2 жыл бұрын
Elevated estrogen and mast cell activation and/or granulation are often connected. I don't believe either is associated with hairless though. I'd think DHT moreso. Also, blood sugar, blood flow, thyroid hormones, and inflammation (not histamine-style inflammation, more TH17 and IL-6 type). Hope that helps!

@@gutmicrobiomequeen My hair was falling out because of my uncontrolled gut dysbiosis (overgrowth of methanogens in my large intestine/colon). My organs were overloaded with their toxic byproducts (presumably). I had a lot of symptoms, but one was a constant lump feeling in my throat and all the symptoms of over-active thyroid/hyperthyroidism. But my thyroid bloodwork and my thyroid ultrasound were all normal. I had read that iodine supports your thyroid, so I took an iodine supplement 1 morning, and my hair fell out like crazy that day! Later I learned that iodine helps under-active thyroid, but as I experienced, it exasperates symptoms of over-active thyroid. So I cut out all iodine foods to get my hair to stop falling out. Your video explains a lot of what was probably going on. I guess my insides were overloaded with the toxic byproducts of the uncontrolled IMO, and I couldn't filter out all my estrogen. I'm on omeprazole now, which means the IMO is no longer being fueled with its favorite food source - acid. I'm still trying to get Rifaximin. (Herbal antibiotics made things worse for me.)

Hello.I am doing the GAPS diet right now but I also want to test for SIBO with the breath test but i have to ingest sugar for that right?Will that harm my GAPS diet process?Plz answer,Dr.Thank you so much

If you opt for lactulose instead of glucose you'll be good to go (and GAPS compliant as far as I am aware) 😀

@@gutmicrobiomequeen thanks but I am already eating some fruit so ai am already eating glucose right?
@gutmicrobiomequeen2 жыл бұрын
Glucose and fructose, yes. It's not that all glucose is bad- it's the quantity. The SIBO glucose test is a TON of glucose. Take my advice- pass on that one and get lactulose!

I have dysbiosis...2 pathogens citrobacter freundii and morganella morganii. No detectable levels of lactobacillus 😳. My beta glucuronidase is high... I was told I have to kill off these gut infections before that beta glucuronidase will come down. Interesting though that I have good SCFA.
