I’ve use this setup for two years. No need to try anything else. I tried it on because I had a naked zigzag on mrs and a branch released it for an uncomfortable amount of time. That gave me a shake and a scare. The wrench makes the zigzag way smoother and not so jumpy. I’m glad you tried it. Now I know I had the right idea. Thanx

So glad you did this video. I think lots of people have wondered about this. Did you notice any issues with the rope wrench coming down and hitting the top of the Zig-Zag? That is the official line as to why it is not a good idea. The Chicane is "engineered" for the proper clearances and stiffness. Thank you for the content, I watch you a lot, don't usually comment. I appreciate your channel. I am getting to be an old dog, but I enjoy the content.

No I didn't notice it getting to close. Thank you and take care!

I pound on this setup. That does not happen. Also a branch can’t slap the zigzag open because the wrench blocks the chain release. Because a branch can open the zigzag and it can hold it open if the wrong place at the wrong time.

Please Recommend ,, what should i buy chicane or the rope wrench Apex?? I heard that checane is smoother but i wont use it with its carabiner because it's too long ,,, I have both a zig zag and a hitch climber pulley . I would like to use them interchangeably. Also the chicane move up myself is that what you mean by a grommet?? And I don't know if the rope range Apex does or not. How important is it.

Looks like a tighter setup than using the chicane, easier to use one hand when you have to use the other for negotiating limbs

"Oops" and "didn't mean to do that" , are NOT confidence building terms from a instructor, dude. In fact, many would consider it grounds for termination. Oops, ground , termination, arborist. heehee
@BinoH2 жыл бұрын
True I just picked up that term recently.

I don't want to be too argumentative but I believe that an instructor that is sincere enough to express a slight misstep is authentic. Maybe amateurs or people looking to take a shot at a misstep would get their antennas up and hone in on it but anyone that has much experience should not focus much on that in my opinion. There is much more going on there. Show how to not panic and get things going back in the right direction. No big deal.
