37:28 Let me complement that logic. The reason you could say that Divine Blessing is better for smaller attacks is that, contrary to one-shots, you'll eventually get hit much more, which in turn will increase the proc ratio of that skill just by virtue of being hit more. DB has 50% proc chance (60% for DB lvl 5), so in a one-shot situation, it's approx. half the chance to survive. In the worst case, you just die. Now, if you're getting hit with weaker attacks, you're getting effectively less damage overall during the hunt instead of being fucking dead half of the time, so you even consume less healing items. BUT HAVING SAID THAT, Divine Blessing saved my bacon so many times in one-shot scenarios that I can't live without it anymore. Also, just remember that not every attack is a one-shot, so there's still huge benefit to use it regardless.

@@TREE3301 Sorry bro but it was XD, I wasnt even paying close attention and I counted at least 5 times it saved you in this video alone. If you dont like it then you dont like it, it is what it is, but because it doesnt always save you, you blame it every time it doesnt. People tend to only focus on the bad. If it stops you carting 10 times, you'll still trash it the 3 times it didnt. If your argument was "If Im good enough to not get hit then I dont need it" that'd be a different story, assuming you can actually pull it off. It reduces the consequences of your mistakes. If it saved you "only a handful of times" that's still a handful of times you made mistakes that would've carted you, wasted time, wasted resources, or even make you start the hunt over. The skill is better the worse youre doing, many people said it helped with Fatalis because its really difficult, DB just bring the goal post down a little with a luck based cushion for your faults. TLDR: If youre good enough to not get hit often then yes youd be better of with something else, if youre struggling and carting a lot then its good.

Info to everyone who's trying to beat Fatalis: First of all, learn superman jump properly. You just gotta be facing and running the opposite direction as the monster, use the sprint button + jump button. Spam the jump button lol. This will save you A LOT. As you saw, divine blessings will save you a lot when fighting Fatalis. If you're a soul like player, or are just good at dodging, run Evade Window 3 or 5, depending on your experience. Running Part Breaker is also useful, since you'll need to break his head at least once, but depends on the weapon you're using. Heavy weapons usually can break the head if you aim for it in phases one and two. Breaking the head will power down his last phase, and you can break it twice. For shield weapons USE GUARD UP. This will make you able to block flame attacks. Even the cone one. And the best part, if you block the cone, you can save teammates behind you. You can run heavy artillery on your mantles and use them when you hop on balista. You'll give him a lot of more damage, and if you hit 90% of the hits on tenderized chest, you make him fall, creating an amazing opening to head hits. Remember to keep him tenderized. Every moment he spill flames is a good moment to tenderize. When he has his 4 paws on the ground, use the clutch claw and stones to wall bang him. Will give him a lot of damage, and if you're running agitator, it will activate. Fatalis, at least the first time you beat him, is not a fight you fight the way you want, it's a fight you fight the way he lets you. You WILL get your ass whipped a lot, but take these moments to understand why you died. Was it greed? Was it because you didn't know that move? How does that move work? You'll get better every try, just like your body when working out, or your artistic skills as you practice. So, don't give up, hunter. Someday you'll be slaying Fatalis like you slay any other elder dragon. One last tip: with the amount of drops you'll get when failing, you'll be able to start building his set. If you have good decorations, you can change you current set for his. It's pretty strong.

As CB main, I don't use Divine Blessing until I have Fatalis full set armor. DB js not worth it unless you can get it to lv 5 (for that 40% procs). Or you can get the Golden Rathian arm. Ngl, Guard up (+ Guard lvl 3 and charged Shield) is way better than relying on DB. You can even survive the infamous cone attack. My tip is to play it safe with Evade Extender. However, I do not undermine the usefulness of DB as I'm running that mofo on my full set just for that "comfy tanky build." And I wholeheartedly agree with you, every try you will only get better. I've fought this Fatalis mofo so many times, I can practically read its movement and find the opening to use SAED or SA. And people, don't be ashamed to use the stationed weapon the game gives you. Use Heavy Artillery if you will, use everything at your disposal and use all the healings and mantle you have. A good hunter are those that win by outwitting, outsmarting, and outsourcing its prey. Not the one that kept its silly pride intact.

The problem I found with me is I had gotten so used to dodging in souls games that it took a really long time for me to break that habit and learn to block and guard point. Now I've reached fatalis and have to unlearn it and try to dodge him again xD. Would you recommend running guard up even in a no guard build where I only rely on evade extender and evade window?
@TheOverlordEND8 ай бұрын
@@ΒασίληςΤσώνης-υ9φ I'm not sure, I usually use Guard up (+ Guard lvl 3 and Charged Shield = Lv 5 Guard) which is a 50% decrease in stamina reduction in guarding and massive knockback decrease. And I can block all Fatalis moves (except Pinning and Nova). So I do not think without any Guard lvl, Guard up would be worth it. Also, I much prefer Evade Extender than Windows. It really helps in escaping the Nova (especially 3rd, 4th, and 5th) by rolling.

@@championumbreon1771 To be clear, DB is worse for charge blade than guard up + guard 3 until you have his armor, it did save him multiple times, but before you get his gear, it’s very rough since CB is one of the harder weapons to solo with and needs multiple skills for extra damage. not mobile enough in savage axe, and not fast enough when playing SAED, you end up on a tightrope where you lose insane amounts of time when you heal, and then compound that with the time wasted by not using max potions, and not being too familiar with the fight, and you end up running near or over the time limit

Congratulations on Finishing Fatalis, but your DB Slander is off the charts Divine Blessing stops you from dying, thats how it is, it doesnt make you Dodge better, thats a skill issue and lack of Evade Skills, if a monster starts 1-shotting you from full health, Divine Blessing makes it so you dont, cause even if it puts you at 10% hp, its better than eating a cart and failing the quest, you can break horn at 2nd phase and never get one-shot at all even, remember you keep tanking hits, either way divine blessing helps you, you just dont feel it cause you only look at it when you actually die, terrible mindset on DB, dont use it at all, it wont make sense if your mental is bad when you use it.

Fatalis is my favorite fight. I'm really good at the game and my 1st kill still took me like 3 hours. My 1st kill I got him with like 2 minutes left. Now I can cut that time in half. I can kill him in a little over 15 minutes. Beating him for the first time is a crazy adrenaline rush. One of my favorite moments I've ever had gaming. Also you are crazy for your opinion on divine blessing. Is it necessary? No, but trust me. It is REALLY helpful. Especially once you make all the Fatalis armor. It has so many slots that there is basically no reason not to run it. I have Db5 on most of my builds and I still have room for ALL of the attacking skills I need. Tenderize 3, crit boost 3, agitator 7, crit eye 7, attack boost 4. With some room left over for other skills too. Fatalis armor really is that broken. Divine blessing 5 procs WAAY more than you were giving it credit for. You just weren't noticing when it was happening because of your tunnel vision. For an experienced player that doesn't get hit as much. Divine blessing serves another purpose. Because health augment is so strong. When I do get hit I take less damage because of Db and can just heal all my health back with health augment. Not having to stop to heal really cuts down on how long hunts take. I don't even use health potions anymore, I just bring max potions and I have the ingredients to quick craft them in my inventory. So if I use both of them I can just craft more instantly. Having to chug potions just takes too long when you are trying to Speedrun monsters. Also It requires a little bit of farming, but I highly recommend farming whetfish. There is an event quest I think where you have to fish for them and you can easily farm up a bunch from it. Whetfish are an item that acts like the whetstone but it only takes 1 pass to sharpen. No need to have to sit there and be vulnerable sharpening normally. It's also way more efficient than running speed sharpening. As obviously it's just an item and can free up skill slots. I forget the armor but you can run the set bonus that increases rewards at the end of quests. You can also eat for lucky cat to increase quest rewards when farming for whetfish to speed up the process farming them. Trust me once you got a taste of the whetfishussy you can never go back.
