Idk if this’ll help anybody but when alatreon shoots those rings at 14:07 you wanna wait at the second one, wait for the first explosion and then run/roll into it. The delay from the second explosion will be enough time for you to do that and get some free damage on alatreon because he always peeks his head into the area of that first lil ring If you don’t think you have enough time to escape that first ring then you can try I-framing it by rolling but it’s way more risky

@@kurotsuki12 The game DOES tell you. If I'm remembering correctly the researcher that shows you monster hitzones and weaknesses files one group under element and the other under status. You have to explore the world to actually see this stuff rather than only talking to npcs responsible for quests. You can't blame the game if you choose not to explore and interact.

@@kurotsuki12 Then that 90% is also refusing to interact with the NPCs. Again, that's a them problem as the game gave you a guy specifically there to tell you what'll work best on monsters. In the context of alatreon the game will also tell you in the quest that statuses are a no go. Eating a cart during eschaton for failure to understand that is both a punishment and an opportunity to change your gear.

The tempered Zinogre event quest is the best for grinding to MR100 while also unlocking decorations, then the tempered Nergigante event quest became the next best thing for grinding after MR100 and getting those stream stones for upgrading your gear

The one thing I like about Alatreon is how he shakes up gameplay. Elemenal builds are great, but most wouldn't go through the effort of grinding one. He forces you to deal with it. Its one of many reasons why he's a great fight. He also makes you consider dragonblight, which most players would simply ignore

Only critique on the video is that I would like to see you first impressions of looking at the weapon/armor after you killed it. But great job! It took me a ton of attempts to solo it as well, but it’s totally worth it. Alatreon is just a solid fight from start to finish. Great call on the Kulve Ice CB as well! CB isn’t my main, but I’ve done a few runs with that same weapon and it is uber satisfying. The amount of ice damage you can do in savage axe mode is insane

Alatreon was once one of my most difficult and hated fights. It took me a good 30 attempts before I was able to solo it with an SnS. Now it's one of my favorite fights. Swapping to the Shieldspire Palico gadget was game changing for me. That was how I solo'd him. The Taunt from the Shieldspire stooge is a massive help.

Fun story. Me and a friend at the time were trying to unlock fatalis. This friend had been stuck on altrean for over a year and hadn't been able to fight fatalis so when I got to MR he told me he wanted My help. I am also a CB main and this friend was convinced the judgement was stopped by elder seal. A little research and spending hours telling him he was wrong before getting frustrated he wasnt listening to me i just went in solo with silver Rath armor and the frostfang CB 30 minutes later with one life to spare i first tried it! I've never had so much adrenaline in my life. After freaking out with the group of friends we were in call with at the time the guy who wanted my help went silent and just left the call. He came back 2 hours later spouting on about how bullcrap the boss fight was. Later we got confused when the game wasn't giving me the fatalis fight before i realized I hadn't done the special assignment version of the fight. Which BTW has like a third the health not even. Thing just falls over. So not only had I soloed it first try but it was also the full fight not the mini one that gatekeeps fatalis Over the next couple days I was helping a group of friends I got into the game clear the fight before he finally joined back in to admit he was wrong and asked me to help him clear it properly. I just think it's so funny how people never do research on the elemental mechanics of this fight. It becomes so much easier when you realize it just takes ice damage

I soloed Alatreon at mr61 using tempered frostfang barioth lance, was able to augment it with elemental increase 1 it was hard but I was too lazy grinding for mr100. Killed Fatalis(3pc alatreon+2pc raging brachy) at mr68 took me 29mins 30 secs tho, now im mr81.

Treamour resistance, earplugs, less dmg. only downside when u are pinned no attack will give you i-frames and when u claw onto a monster and its attack would throw you off normally it just does the dmg as you could see that one time

The reason why I don't like vigorwasp is cuz it often activates right after I just potioned and heals for 0 HP, and u also have to be careful not to accidentally hit it when already full when Monster standing on top of it, and there have been many times when I die again right after I get rezed before I can even move

Vigorwasp is good if you don't overrely on it, but honestly it's much better to not get used to it. Only times I use it now is for Guiding Lands to save materials as I'm extremely stingy 😂, but even there I usually prefer either Flashfly Cage or Cheerhorn

In the fight with most monsters I only rely on hp regen on my weapon as GS heals really well and lance... well lance gives you a wall for a shield 😂

I love Alatreon. I speedrun him with sword and shield. One of my favorite fights. He certainly is a noob stomper though. His fight is the point the game finally takes the gloves off. People were definitely not prepared for his fight when he launched. So much so that the game got review bombed because people couldn't beat him. But once you actually learn his moveset. He has the most finely tuned hitboxes in the game on his moves. So yes, for a new or less skilled player he seems like an impossible wall. But for an experienced player that knows all his openings and how to fight him properly, the fight is incredibly fun, and surprisingly easier than you think. Oh and don't listen to people that say that certain weapons are really hard to beat him with. As long as you have a proper build to deal with escaton judgement, and you have good dps uptime and aren't chugging potions constantly. It doesn't matter what weapon you use. All the weapons can actually quite easily hit the dps check. If someone says a weapon has a hard time stopping escaton judgement, one of two things are happening. 1. They just aren't capitalizing on Alatreon's openings, and are getting hit too often to be able to do good damage. 2. Or they just have a terrible build. Usually it's a combination of the two. Doesn't matter what weapon you use. All that matters is the skill level of the player. That's why I love monster hunter. You can use any weapon and be successful, as long as you have the skill to make it happen. Oh and I don't use vigor wasp either. I'm with you on that. I also prefer either the coral cheer horn or the meowlotov cocktail. Vigor wasp is good for newer players that get hit and die a lot. But for a more experienced player I'll take the buffs from the coral horn, or the damage of the cocktail any day, no contest. Especially because of how strong health augment is there is basically no reason to use vigor wasp.
