I've never seen that type of strap used around a tire like that... it will slip off with the bumps in the road. You are supposed to go through the rim. The black portion of the strap is a protectant for the rim.

@@todds5956 It's ok to use these if they are installed correctly... which is THROUGH the tire (black portion is a protector sleeve that goes against the rim). Many KZbin videos available on the correct use/installation.

Dude you are doing it wrong in through the back of the ratchet over the top where the excess is over the strap area thats getting tightened. You need to ride with us transporters or tow truck drivers to see the right way
