Wow. With such a vast artistic career, Gates McFadden was basically slumming doing Star Trek-literally and figuratively 😂😂😂.

Is Wolf 359 a convention? Thats an awesome memory. TNG will always have a special place in my heart. There was nothing like it in the late 80s/early 90s. It had great scripts, stories, morals and action. Some episodes are better than others, sure, but then again, some are truly classic.

@MOSMASTERING It was a con, in the 90s, I think it 1995 or 1996, I can't remember which year we went.

I was about 4 months old when TNG came out. Currently my parents and I are rewatching the show. Still a good show almost as good as the original.

I was born '82 and I grew up watching it with my mum. She watched the original series and we got into it together. Good memories of a still fantastic show.. good stories, morals, actions, philosophy and... quite prophetic as well. We got iPad, AI, mobile phones, video conferencing.. it got a lot right.

The #1 thing that most people don't realize is that Worf is the greatest poker player ever. After, "The Emissary," though, Section 31's Sloan didn't appreciate his skill. Director Sloan hired Data and Geordi as Associate Section 31 Operatives to ensure that Worf wouldn't ever win again, while receiving great ridicule for losing.

Guinan's 6th sense being from the nexus is actually in the script for Generations; Zorn even tells Picard this while on the planet. The scenes were cut before filming it seems...Zorn also tortured Geordie, the only thing from this that survives is Dr. Crusher talking to Geordie (the silent POV).

I'm actually amazed and impressed in that I didn't already know most of these facts. This is a real deep dive! 👍 I'll always love TNG. I grew up watching it as ankid with my mum who loved the original StarTrek and we got into it together. I didn't care much for any of the other Star Trek series until the recent Pickard, which was an excellent balance of update and homage.

Number 6 from Picard list has got to be a sense of irony as Voyager could be look at of copying Red Dwarf as clear the Doctor is a mixture between Rimmer and Kryten. And both Red Dwarf and Voyager go on a long voyage back to Earth, once in while encountering the Borg/Simulant.

So, all this time, Micah Burton was Levar Burton's daughter. I was already surprised to see her in Star Trek after her appearances on Rooster Teeth but, wow, that's a piece of information I had no idea about.

Just a thought that occurred to me about other Boimler. To me, he seems more like Will Boimler, Bradward’s transporter clone. My thought is the other-Cerritos Boimler stayed on the Titan and Will was transferred. Whatever the case, I am loving Boimler’s mustache and soon-to-be beard and I look forward to watching the mysteries be solved.

Oh no! I googled to be sure. She died only 2 weeks ago. I feel sad getting old myself, all the characters I grew up watching are getting on themselves and dying. Now I know how my parents felt when they'd be reading the paper and say "oh no, X person died".. and I'd be like... "Who?"

I never had an issue with Barkley. I had an issue with how Barkley ended up on the enterprise of all ships. It's basically the honor Post of starfleet. As I understand it everyone on enterprise is supposed to be the best I their field. Where in voyager it made sense a couple less optimal crew members were on board (explained in universe as basically earning credit) for a few months /weeks at a time,... it makes far less sense for enterprise to just have these members on board when they should regularly be spending months between stops. Especially during purely exploration periods. Which. If I'm remembering correctly Barkley was introduced during a peacetime. Hell Wesley is a boy genius and only gets to serve due to 24th century nepotism and chance. Any other captain, and it probably wouldnt have happened. Especially not on the flag ship.

I didn't understand when i read that McFadden had a problem with wesley reaching out to the male crewmembers for advice and not her. For 1, she was his mother, he would be embarrassed to talk to her about certain things. And, as a young male about to enter adulthood as a man, he of course would reach out to adult males because his mother wouldn't have gone through the same things. It made sense to me.

I thought Mary Sue was a fanfic with the writer/outsider was a love interest of a main character. A kind of wish fulfillment.
