And on some of these new ships you have to pay to use the bells and whistles. The prices are now ridiculous and they want to Upsall on everything. They are fleecing passengers and there will come a time when passengers say that's enough. We were all prevented from holidaying properly for 2 years, but enough of ripping people off

I've said it before - Will has Hobbits in his ancestry, not enough to make him short, but definitely enough to be able to eat that much and still be regular sized! Seriously though, the travel-tubers who aren't paid to advertise and given comped trips will schedule all their various traveling for a month or two during the year, then work their regular jobs while they edit and release everything they filmed during their travel time. That way, guys like Will can give unbiased reviews by paying for their own trips, but still have jobs in order to make the money to pay for it. If a company gives Will something for free, he will tell us on the video, but he still gives it an honest review... that's why I like him.

Will, you never know when you'll lose your parents and I'm so glad that you treat them with honour and respect and enjoy the time you have with them. My mother passed away at only 62 and I will be 60 at the end of the year, but she was in poor health with breast cancer for about 10 years before she died. I remember taking her for long drives into the country where she would actually fall asleep for most of the journey until we arrived to a place that had a little cafe where we'd have a coffee and pie together. At that time my life was SO different and I thought that I knew the way my life was going but a u turn was about to take me down a path I would never have chosen! I now live in the little country town where my mum and I used to stop and that cafe is still here 21 years later. It comforts me to drive these highways remembering treasured memories. Now my Dad is almost 85, still living alone after all these years, yet stubbornly refusing to let me help him as I did my mother, and he has finally accepted that this will be the last season of life. He has had SO many falls and the last one was REALLY bad. My brother, who stayed with Dad after he broke his hip at home but refused to allow my brother to call an ambulance for 3 whole days, even though he was in agony, died 5 years ago next month and my Dad seems to have selected one of my sons to take over his role as organiser of Care Services even though I cared for my FIL for years at home and I worked as an RN doing Palliative and Aged Care for 20 years. We cannot choose our parents and I'm aware that some of us get lousy parents or one parent, but today might be the day you DO lose one. I KNOW that in the years and decades ahead that you Will will have such great memories of all these times away. It doesn't have to be five-star travel, just companionship together. I wish that I had been able to spend more time with my mum taking her on nice holidays before she got sick but I DO have memories, and they are enough! I just love it when you upload these videos. Take care to all the family Millie included!

"Style over substance ": Funny you should say that as I was thinking the same thing but regarding the overy snobby food & not so much the ship. As an interior lighting & designer myself, I've always appreciated high quality materials and understated elegance. However, many would regard that level of design as perhaps pontzy and pretentious whereas I wouldn't. Yet when it comes to having hot-n-cold running chamber maids, overly pretentious food and wine, and private Butlers etc, oddly enough, that is where I draw the line. I guess we all have a slightly different take on what is "style over substance " to others.

My husband and I, both seasoned cruisers, were booked on week 2 of Explora 1's inaugural cruise, Iceland to Copenhagen, Summer 2023,. We were in a Penthouse Suite, which was lovely, except it had no lighted vanity mirror at the dressing table. About 400 passengers were aboard, mostly travel agents and writers. We might have been the only "paying passengers." We loved the ship. She is elegant, the food excellent, service was outstanding, and there is nothing like being on a ship, on the water, anywhere in the world. However, the whiskey bar had NO Irish whiskey, which we had checked on ahead of time and were given a list. There was only one bottle of Jameson's, while "just okay," had to be snatched from the Atrium Bar and stashed in the whiskey bar for my husband. (Eventually, additional Jameson's was located, so there was one in the Crema Coffee Bar, which along with Bailey's Irish Cream,, was tasty in my coffee.) Also, no smoking was allowed in the cigar lounge, as whatever licenses were required had not been procured in time for her launch. I would enjoy going on her again, though I'm told she is trying to "change her demographic" to appeal to a younger crowd. Yeah, I hope that "younger crowd" has $30k to drop on a cruise.

Thank you Will and Ian for sharing your adventure with us. Truly appreciate the up close view of the menus as one can't expand the screen properly on a laptop. I think small luxury cursing is where it is at. Personalize service and all zones of the ship are never overcrowded. The starter room looks compatible to a mid priced room on most other luxury ships. Again, appreciate the detailed tour and food options.

Without gushing, these are great videos. Fantastic to see someone experiencing this business so, for FMO, I am spared it.

So cash in for the Rolex AD to finance your next trip. Love that you include your dad for these trips. It has inspired me to book a cruise with my father to experience some memories while we can.

Another incredible trip and video, I don’t think there has been one I haven’t liked. I just enjoy seeing different ways of travel and glimpses of different countries, thanks Will (and Dad).

Thats amazing you get to take your family on these excursions. The ship is beautiful. I like we get to see whats worth the charge, and what is not.
