Non-Muslims around the world have taken to fasting this Ramadan for various reasons. Listen to this non-Muslim individual express intention to join the Muslim holiday of Ramadan this year as a means of practicing self-control, gratitude, and kindness towards others. Ramadan, celebrated as the month of the first revelations of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad, is observed through fasting from dawn to sunset for the entire month. The speaker emphasizes the importance of these values, particularly for Americans with unhealthy consumerism habits. She plans to express kindness towards others and gain perspective during the month-long fast. She also raises awareness of the struggles of women in Gaza and encourages listeners to consider helping them.

May Allah Ta'ala grant you long life and that you live to embrace Islam. However once you realise that Islam is the only true religion then you should not delay in becoming Muslim. Learning and acting upon the pillars of Islam is a gradual process for converts and many born Muslims. 😊😊

If you believe this is true, then take the step, its between your own self and your creator, no need to make people now..... at least the shahada..... its easy, nothing to lose, and its your salvation, so everything to win..... and nobody really knows if he will live tomorrow or not

G-d gave a portion of the Holy Land to the children of Ishmael. Based on Zohar Shemot 32A ------ [R. Hiyya then says] Woe is to the time that Ishmael was born into the world and was circumcised. What did G‑d do [to appease Ishmael]? He distanced the children of Ishmael from supernal cleaving and gave them [only] a portion below in the Holy Land on account of their circumcision. And in the future, the children of Ishmael are destined to rule over the Holy Land for a long time when it is empty from anything, like their circumcision which is empty and imperfect. And they will prevent the children of Israel from returning to their place until the reward for the merit of the children of Ishmael reaches completion. The children of Ishmael [i.e. the Arab nations] will cause great wars in the world and the children of Edom will gather against them and wage war against them, one on the sea, one on the dry land, and one near Jerusalem. And they [the children of Edom] will rule over them [the children of Ishmael], but the Holy Land will not be given over to the children of Edom. [The children of Edom is the Christian West, for Edom is Rome (see Num. 24:19, Rashi) and Rome signifies Greece-Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, the foundations of Western Civilization] ----- It had already been prophesied in the Bible that the descendants of Ishmael/Arabs shall administer the Temple Mount/Jerusalem. Isaiah 60:7 "All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory." Dome of the Rock is the Third Temple. There are some interpretations of the Bible that suggest that the construction of the Dome of the Rock is prophesied in the Book of Daniel. Specifically, some people believe that Daniel 12:11 is a prophecy about the building of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." [Daniel 12:11] It is a heresy/unholy to think that Jews shall administer Temple Mount/Jerusalem as it had been clear in the Holy scripture that descendants of Ishmael/Arabs had been ordained by G-d to administer Jerusalem/Temple Mount. ------------ Religious Zionism is believing in G-d +/-. It is another form of idolatry. In Hebrew Bible, Devarim 32:17 reads as follows: "They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had come recently, whom your ancestors had not feared". The medieval commentator Ibn Ezra suggested that the “new gods” mentioned in this verse were actually the gods of foreign nations that the Israelites had come into contact with. "new gods" is today's Zionism. Zionism is a nationalist movement that emerged in the 19th century to enable the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine. The movement initially emerged in Central and Eastern Europe as a national revival movement in the late 19th century, both in reaction to newer waves of antisemitism and as a consequence of Haskalah, or Jewish Enlightenment. Since the establishment of Israel, Zionism became an ideology that supports “the development and protection of the State of Israel”. One cannot deny that the conflicts in the middle-east is caused by the Zionism movement and the violations of the 3 Oaths made by the Jews found in the Talmud (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4): The Oaths: First Oath: Israel should not ascend to the land in a wall (i.e., en masse or forcefully). Second Oath: The Holy One adjured Israel not to rebel against the nations of the world. Third Oath: The Holy One adjured the nations not to oppress Israel excessively. Jews worldwide are now paying the price for the violations of the 3 Oaths Zionism ("new gods") is only around 100 years old. It is the transformation from religion to nationalism, to materialism created by non-religious Jews who hated their religion. The reason why they use the name Israel, the Star of David, hijacking, stealing the identity of Judaism and the Jewish people is in order to gain a legitimacy for their existence that should lead people to say, 'oh, it is God given to them' and that they should use fear and intimidate people from speaking out against their actions because they will call those that do anti Semitic; it couldn't be anything further from the Truth.

As a non-Muslim who fasts from dawn to dusk during the month of Ramadan, all I can say is that it will most certainly make you become more aware of the sufferings of other people, especially those who are starving. In other words, it will make you a more compassionate person. So yeah, I'd also encourage other non-Muslims to join the Muslims in fasting during the month of Ramadan.

Funny, because Christians also fast at the moment. Christian-fasting: more than 40 days before Easter, more than 20 days before Christmas, every Thursday, Friday (and Saturday). Sure, they can drink and eat a bit through the day, but they don't have a break. You should learn more about other cultures and religions.

@@epona1525 Oh, I know about Christianity alright. But almost all of the Christians I know don't practice what their religion teaches. Much less fasting at the times you mentioned. Anyway, I sometimes fast intermittently as well; not eating anything for 3 days to a week. I still drink water during intermittent fasting, though.

Ah yes, I know that Christians also fast from the Qur'an: You who believe, fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may be mindful of God - Qur'an (2:183) But I always think that fasting rules in Christianity is abstaining several food because that's what my Christian friends did. None of them fast, I mean fast like no food and water. But I have to say that I know so little about Christianity because I'm Muslim, living in Muslim majority country. There are only 10% of Christians in my country

As a former non-Muslim, this is how it all started in my journey. My mother having been a revert for just a couple of years at the time, I started fasting with her. Little by little my connection grew stronger to the guidance and wisdom of Allah's Quran. After two to three years I accepted Islam and never looked back. Years later, my mother eventually passed away which happened to occur during the month of Ramadan. Alhamdulillah, thank you God for taking her home during this most special time and peacefully. I love you and miss you. Always be kind to your parents. رَّبِّ ٱرۡحَمۡهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّیَانِی صَغِیرࣰا

Muslims fast because God told us to, period. Its not just a "restraining" of X number of things. Its a month to bring you closer God. many muslims spend 2hrs (mostly standing) every night of ramadan praying. They donate at least 2.5% of their wealth and give charity on top of it. Yet kind words and forgiveness is even better than charity. When God is all you have, you are already most successful in this life and the hereafter

*Fasting is not just abstaining your stomach from food. When a person fasts, his eyes are also fasting, which means he does not look/watch at evil and forbidden things. His ears are also fasting, which means he does not hear evil things such as back biting, cussing etc. If there is a place where this is happening, you simply stop them or walk away from there. And hence your feet are also fasting, which means, you walk away from the place where evil things happen. Your hands are also fasting, which means you don't cause harm to anyone with your hands - and most importantly (and perhaps the most TOUGHEST one - Your tongue is also fasting, which means, you control your anger, you don't say words that could hurt anyone even though they may be true. You don't back bite, you don't cuss out, you don't scream, you don't speak a lie. Your heart is also fasting, which means you take out any malice and clean it from everything and you forgive people who have done injustice to you, just for the sake of Allah.* *Ramdhan is a month of practice where Muslims are supposed to practice and develop these traits and then try to live the remaining 11 months the same way as they did in Ramdhan, till the month of practice comes again. All the best to you.*

Hey guys, I'm a nonmuslim. I do feel for innocent people on both sides. However I have a few questions to which no Muslim has answered. They always change topics. So here it is: 1) Why don't Muslims protest against there own terrorist groups like Hamas, isis or al Qaeda. Just too name a few 2) Where were worldwide protests when other minority Muslims were being massacred? For example Myanmar Muslim genocide. For context I have read the charter for Hamas purpose. I don't think majority people know there goal is for utter destruction of all Jews. From River to Sea meaning all of Israel.
