Before you lift any more beams, PLEASE weld a hook on the backside of the bucket. Much safer.

We used our tractor to lift beams, but we 'wrapped' the beam in scrap wood (not attached just jammed in when grapple was closed) and used the grapple to grab the beam, gives you much more control, the scrap wood fell away when the grapple was opened, no damage to the beam.

looks like there is an eye on the backside of the bucket. No clue why you would endanger the guys and yourself, and anyone in the vicinity, by not using the eye for it's intended purpose. Damn dangerous !

Almost feels like welding machine is broken and that’s the reason? It took only 5 min to weld this hook. And good thing is You can use it many times after this build. It is always needed to lift something! If I don’t saw this hook on next video I’m gonna cancel this channel! I can’t stand it to watch how dangerous and stupid this is!

The many suggestions for adding shackles or hooks on the excavator bucket are right on. Too much risk to your employees with hanging heavy stuff from those teeth. Also, before performing the lift, align the excavator tracks so you can move the ex closer or farther away from the house as needed. Prior proper preparation, etc. etc.

I was thinking the same thing. Use as a learning situation. Do not let it become a fobia. I have one still at 64 1/2 if only my parents had known. Find different ways to reintroduce things to children so they don't grow with fears and fobias. As a teacher I have been able to help many children over bad experiences that have left feelings(fears) that had changed their outlook on life. I wish I could get over mine. Yes I know I could seek counseling, but it's a bug fobia. I do not want to go anywhere near that bug

I know you guys are a little behind, the build videos are at least a few weeks ago. Congratulations on the birth of your newest baby boy.😊 When you get back to working on the deck roof, you need to rent a squirt boom forklift with outriggers. That, or a boom truck. You're picking pieces that could kill someone if they come off that tooth of the excavator you've been using. You've been lucky so far. I've been working in construction for 28 years. I'm an Ironworker and have been involved with erecting large and small structures. Please think about it before something catastrophic happens.

I realize that by now you probably have all the beams in place but if you need to use the excavator to lift things in the future you should get a shackle that fits the looo on the back of the bucket. then then you don't have to worry about the load sliding of the toothe and you can actually get a little more height.

IDK . . . if you think about Leo's POV when he looks up at his Dada wearing that straw hat . . . that's pretty much what he sees.
@charlotte50224
@charlotte50224 Ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm not sure he was at all intending that to be a sun. I think he just used that color, because of the hat, and Trent's hair color. I'm not a psychologist, but I am a retired teacher, so worked with kids for years. None that young though, except for my own two kids. I was just impressed with the details in that picture for, I believe a two and a half or so year old? He's definitely advanced for his age art wise! And with his verbal skills, of course! I knew it appeared he was understanding everything that was said to him, very early! I know that sign language thing is a new fad. But seriously if a child is understanding the meaning of what's being said to them, there's really no reason not to encourage them to interact with you verbally. I think Leo was less than a year old when it was clear he was comprehending what was being said to him. I know that's early to talk, but not unheard of. I always talked to my kids from birth, as though they knew what I was saying. And apparently pretty quick they did, because one said his first word at 8 months the other at 9 months. And were saying 3 and 4 word sentences by their first birthdays. I'm not saying this to brag on my kids, but to explain why I think Leo could have been talking that early, too, if he hadn't had the sign language to communicate with. I kept commenting that it was clear Leo was very smart, and urging her to have him use his vocal words, when she thought he was behind. Anyway, he definitely made up for lost time, now!! That little boy is clearly very bright!!! ❤

Putting that last beam in place, was so dangerous and stupid. If you are going to put your employers in danger like you did, you surely need to take a break from building your house. Have you any idea how much it would have cost you, if you had killed or hurt one of the guys.
