Trent, I'm trying to start my business through cold calling, and there is just not that much honest content on there on the subject. You and your videos are honest and completely real, it has given me a ton of value and it makes me feel better watching someone else do the same thing that I am doing. Most youtubers wont show the brutal reality but, if I don't see it, I don't know what the problem is. It really helps to watch someone that is a professional in the field get hung up on, send to voicemail for 20 calls over, I now know that the problem is not me...again if I don't see it, how would I know. I really value videos like this because they are the most helpful, you could tell me how to do *xyz* but nothing will beat watching the honest process. Thank you so much, really. Actually I also think another great time to call is between 4 pm to 7 pm. Maybe that’s just specific to my industry I work in, it’s commercial insurance. But I also read a psychological study once that said people are easier to persuade when they are tired. Also during dinner, they are getting their dopamine from eating. And if they are at all likely to buy, they are more likely to be receptive while they are at home getting r&r. I call business owners too. Also I think calling at 4-7 pm or even as late as 8 but it is less effective then, beats your competition who isn’t calling then . But you are. Also, 4-7 pm they do have very strong reactions sometimes and they remember my call. Even if they say no, sometimes I call them a few days later in morning and they say yes. Also, I’m sure my approach works because I’m generating more profits than my coworker according to my boss and I was only calling in the evening last year and he calls both shifts.

In my couple years of experience and shoutout to Jeremy Miner, instead of right away telling people what company you're with you should try a slightly confused tone and ask for help or ask if they can help you with a question because in my experience and with what I've seen when you right away, introduce yourself with a overly friendly tone and you work with x company, it just triggers sales resistance and the reason why that starting off with the confused tone or asking the question in a confused tone off the bat can lower that self resistance is because it triggers neural empathy. I've seen a lot of success with this personally, maybe give it a try, an example would be "hey it's just Trent, um I have a quick question I was hoping you could help me with, do you mind?" Maybe give it a shot! Works for me really well
