I'd agree with this. Trevor wasn't afraid of him either. You can tell the character was impressed and when the guy called him out for his part in the mess, Trevor certainly took responsibility in his own way. I've experienced the same irl. People are surprised when you stand up to them when done right and respect you for it. Key is.. if its done right. Ie in private with the right words and mannerisms.

Fear isn't a choice. Your actions are. Scared or not, showing effect to intimidation would lead to a further situation. Scared or not, the man acted in accordance refusing to be intimidated and giving Trevor more reason to be dangerous. I don't think murder is an end, but a means to a end. If threatening to kill him isn't working towards his end, why kill him if it achieves nothing but a heavy feeling of being wrong?
