Although beef chuck is traditional for making beef sausages, the tri-tip was on sale at a lower price than chuck roast. Why not go a little bougie? I made sausages and then I retained the seasoned meat that was in the bottom of the sausage stuffer and in the tube. I used that to make patties for grilled sandwiches. The flavor was excellent.
There is no recipe for this sandwich on my web site. It's just sausage, cheese and toasted bread.
