You can get as close to the beaver trail as you can get, just make sure the wind doesn’t change on you. If you didn’t see the WolfQuest video, a beaver was right next to a cardboard cutout of a wolf doing its thing. So, I think you can be as close as you want to the beaver trail, just as long as the beaver doesn’t smell you it won’t run away.

Wolf pup names: Beaver (obviously) Sage Aspen Willow Oak Azor Hawk Owl Aqua Aquarius Pisces Salmon Creek Brook Maple and Novak

I named one of my pups Beaver. He was from the litter I used to try this out on and I used an older wolf so it wouldn’t be weird that her grandkids or so were “older” than her. All three of them survived but I accidentally made the oldest (Flame) into an Ironwolf so I’m only gonna play on easy mode with him. Flame, Ivory, Beaver were their names from oldest to youngest and Ivory was the smallest and the only female although she was always roughly the size of Beaver except for when she stayed at 19.9 pounds when the others were at like 20.7 and 20.4. Flame also has the same coat that Frodo has. (Frodo is a wolf Jay has used on streams) Dawn (the mother wolf) was almost killed by beavers several times and went on a long journey to bring Beaver a beaver but she had to give up. Probably gonna give him a challenge of hunting down 50 beavers and bringing them to his pups when he gets his own pups.
