If you had some steady photos of the motor and the key dimensions then i could confirm the following : Looks like one of the versions Triang used of the Mabuchi FT16 motor. Think you misread as PT16. In the Scalextric race tuned cars first made in Hong Kong from 1966. Although cheap but fast and powefil , Triang sought out cheaper Hong Kong made clones of the Japanese sourced so there were also versions in Scalextric called the big Raymond motor and also the larger Johnson 222 was fitted. You may also see a Mabuchi FT16D motor but that is unlikely to fit the Turbo car. The 16D was an early upgrade with better bearings, higher performance winding of the armature, better commutator and heat sinks for the brushes. Drive shaft for these at the non brush end. From a time when slot cars running on large wood routed tracks was in a huge world wide boom so this was an attempt ftom Scalextric to keep up with the high end products. Before Scalextric went backwards and focused on the toy side of things when the boom went bust.
