It's like this wherever you go. Most common people are not evil. Everyone just wants to live a peaceful life full of happiness without having to fear. It's mainly the people in power who are looking to stay in power who do horrendous things.

Its very good to see Huma again and I hope that she's doing well. Even a very small smile from her is good to see. They're all so polite and give thanks before they eat. They all seem like such very nice people and they help us to learn about different peoples of Afghanistan. Please give them our good wishes and friendship toward them even though we don't speak the same language. I love watching these videos! I spent a year in Afghanistan when I was in the US Army and I was so humbled by how warm and welcoming the people of Afghanistan were to me and the soldiers with me. Every time we went to different villages, we were greeted with tea and Parwarda. Even though our presence was not welcomed by all, we were still treated with respect and dignity and we tried to treat the people we met the same. Watching these videos brings back the good memories of my time in the villages around our base connecting as people and not as soldiers or enemies or anything else, just people. Thank you for making these and I look forward to watching more!

@@diveawayyy you are correct. But my reasoning is pan cake is an American dish whereas meetha paratha is ours. Pan cakes contain eggs whereas ours doesn't. I love these so much because, in a world where we constantly dehumanize each other, even our own neighbors, for one reason or another...usually along political, religious, or ethnic lines, these videos force you to recognize the humanity of people who live vastly different lives. Everytime I watch Im just struck by the kindness and similarities. Im a bit of a cynic, especially as I get older, but I'll never abandon my humanity which seems so easy for so many people to do. They focus more on why we are different than why we are all the same, brothers and sisters in the human experience.

I love Jamshid's enthusiasm and honesty. They all react honestly. This channel has opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn't know about the people of Afghanistan. I love them.

It is amazing to see how different cultures react, but also shows how different cultures use the same ingredients to make very different food to each other.
