CASPER METAL DETECTING here...Glad you had a great time ! Finds are the bonus at seeded hunts - the friends and stories and fun is where its at 👍...My first detecting experience was a seeded hunt in 1973 at age 10 - using a borrowed Whites Gold MASTER . Guys from down south that were first ones to hit loaded civil war spots donated about 1000 3 ringers to the kids hunt and they buried Ike dollars and halves for the kids. Hunt was put on by the New England Treasure Finders which at one time was the largest club in the USA. I got my own detector in 1975. Congrats on the GOLD!

I have enjoyed your videos and I recently bought a Nokta Legend. So far I have found $ 2.64 and a lot of trash. I have gotten my money worth in fun and am going to travel from my home in Alabama to Cocoa Beach Florida to try my luck. I currently use the preset settings and they work for me. Really love this channel. Been metal detecting with my Whites XLT for 25 years. Bought it new for 800.00 bucks way back when and it has paid for itself 10 times over, and still my favorite. Just got an Excalibur last year and although it’s pretty heavy and doesn’t have a VID screen, it’s starting to pay off in the waist high waters that I couldn’t reach with the XLT. I’m in SE Mass. and consider myself lucky.

That looks like fun!! Iv always wanted to do one ,but never want to go alone. I just bought my son a detector & took him out a few times to show him the ropes. We are both going to dig a 200 year old property in North Jersey for a fundraiser next weekend. It's being run by a club,so hopefully I can talk to someone there about joining. Iv always wanted to join a club, but again hate doing group things alone!! Time to get out of my comfort zone 😬 oh yea, I finally found my 1st gold ring last week!! Thought it would never happen 😅
