Thank you! I learned this trick years ago and loved performing it. My son just got into card magic and I was going crazy trying to recall the method and couldn't find this anywhere, then this pops up a day later. Perfect.

Thanks for this trick! Have been learning a lot from this channel lately. When I do this trick, I don't count from 1-20 when placing the cards on the table but from 20-1. This way I don't need to explain to my spectator that they need to count the other way around when looking for their card.

Thanks! Also, I like that idea.

Can you share recommendations on what to say to verbally coach the spectator to prevent them from shuffling the small deck or getting the "Jack of Diamonds" out of order when counting? That's a fun trick, thanks for sharing!

I do a variation on "Overkill" by Paul Harris as well. I faro shuffle the force card into the 21st position by starting with the red backed card 3rd from the top 🤔

Let’s call this trick Find the Twins. Use the two Jacks of diamond from the blue and red deck and set the pile up. The first steps are the same. Let them pick a small number of cards and let them count them to reverse the order and get the “blue Jack” at the bottom of the small pile. Lay down the 20 cards and count back the number of cards in the small pile. Then: Put the 20 cards back in a pile and let them tell you their card -> a Jack of diamonds. Let them look at the bottom card of their small pile. That is your first brother. Now it was in the 20 before, so let’s find his twin. So spread out the 20 face-down and reveal that there is one red card… turn that one over… it’s his twin brother!

Nice trick! But wouldn't the spectator wonder why you have 2 of the same cards in 1 deck? (Even if different color?)
@filipehenriques84052 жыл бұрын
Yes. That is the only issue for me with this trick ... There is no justification to have two jack of diamonds in the same deck. Might as well use a blank card that says "YOU WILL CHOOSE A JACK OF DIAMONDS" or simply use a twin card like a jack of hearts
@nay_ha12 жыл бұрын
@@filipehenriques8405 Hmm yeah good thought process. You can always have a prediction made out beforehand, force the jack of diamonds, false shuffle the deck and then proceed. Something like that 😅. I'd have to play around a bit.
@Noob-ms9ek2 жыл бұрын
You can actually do a prediction and the prediction must be the card that you force

Sorry for the late comment MLT. I have been doing college work and practicing at one of my classes. This is a GREAT trick as always MLT! You always have the best tricks! I saw this on Michael Six - Magician's channel, and I think CardMechanic's channel. I think Mismag822 - The Card Trick Teacher has a video on this as well, probably Doug Conn as well. I love this trick because of how you can customize the ending to fit your style. Congrats on 450K! #Roadto500K!
