The year is 2077. The triforce has 20 ads in teh middle. Every topic in existance has been discussed at least 5 times. Sips is still excited about the apprentice. And we all still watch fervently.

this episode is super old but the part at the end is so emotional. Parents don't lose their purpose!! Your kids are always counting on you to be strong for them. Your role as a parent just shifts from being a guide, to their most important support for when times get tough.

17:11 Ross Kemp literally visited the frontline when the Kurds in Rojava fought ISIS. At one point he ran between two far apart buildings while an ISIS sniper was aiming at him. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ6nfWhvYrBlmK8

Also not sure he meant it but insanely clever that it doesn’t have a link in the shareable thing for wordle. If it had a link it would look like marketing and no one would want to ask / talk about it. No one want to share it if it had a gross link in it like some shitty FarmVille thing.

My Grandad loved M*A*S*H. I even have 3 seasons on DVD. It's a great show but I guarantee problematic boomer-y issues. (There's a whole character that "cross-dresses" to attempt to be discharged from the army due to insanity).

it's strange but encouraging to think that younger generations will be completely thrown off by that kind of thing. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, so I was horrified by things like overt racism in older shows, but now I have the context of seeing things like homophobia in shows I watched when I was younger. I obviously don't think any of it was okay, but I also understand that most of it wasn't intended to be mean. We were just really, really stupid. I know that we're far from conquering these problems, but I think we're headed toward understanding prejudice well enough to at least avoid the worst of it in our media. Younger people (I hope) won't have that experience to see how we could make that kind of mistake. I'm perfectly happy to be condemned by them if it's because society has improved too much for them to relate to that ignorance.

Mother Teresa was nowhere near perfect and she was too narrow-minded and possibly just too uneducated to see how her influences and resources could make a greater impact. However, she entered war zones to save the lives of children. That counts for something.
