As someone that is just getting back into the dating world after a long term relationship the timing for this episode to come out now is pretty crazy! Can't say I feel any better after hearing it though lmao... I went through a really hard breakup at the beginning of this year, we were together through most of college and we'd lived together for 2 years afterwards....when Sips fucking said "if you met someone, say at school or whatever and you're in a longer term relationship, that's a good one, I think it's so much harder to meet new people later in life, my advice is to turn back time basically" that straight up gutted me, I burst into tears I love you guys a whole lot but jesus, what a downer

33 year old here chiming in to say my dating life is infinitely more successful now than it ever was in college, or even most of my twenties. And that's a pretty common experience. It's true what they say - focus on yourself and everything else falls into place around you. Chin up

Srcreenwriters don't get paid for "works for hire", and so the insistence is that streaming is a work for hire, so they don't need to pay screenwriters. But copyrights are not available on works for hire, yet the distributor still want to get copyrights of it for streaming it. And the reason for not showing older stuff is copyrights last longer. "Its a Wonderful Life" crashed when released, and only got an airing because copyrights were allowed to expire (the cost wasn't worth it), but it only became valuable when it WAS aired again, years later, out of copyright. So against all laws that prohibit ex posto facto laws, the copyrights were extended and retroactively, and the movie has never come out of copyrights again. If the movie had been copyrighted, the owner of those copyrights would not air it again, and nobody else would have aired it if it wasn't out of copyright. You get Snakes A The Plane as a tax dodge: make a stinker and write it off as a tax loss, so everyone got paid a massive salary, but now the publisher can avoid taxes. You don't get good new works, only knock offs of things that worked before, because there is a need to make a guaranteed ROI profit. Cut copyrights to 10 years. 20 max. Require anything that gets copyrights doesn't get any other "IP" protection, so you have to choose if you want to patent the software method or copyright it, not both. And require it be able to be read and used to get copyrights, object code isn't usable, so doesn't get copyrights, and it doesn't get copyrights BECAUSE of that, because you can't learn HOW it was done, or how to do it BETTER and copyright THAT.

I'm super into psychology, and the part about the foot fetish is actually this: the part of the brain that recognizes sexual organs, the penis, the vagina, breasts etc. and the part of the brain that recognises the shape of feet and whatnot are right next to each other. This means that in certain people those cognitions overlap and that's where the foot fetish is born. Of course what Flax says about it being a sign of vulnurability isn't entirely wrong, as that can cause the overlap, but it is a little bit more complex up in the brain that just that.

Honestly, the writers could find a better writing job. More honestly, they're probably replaceable and need to learn that. Worse, if they're under contract, whose fault is it that their name is on a crop contract... this generation just wants to complain instead of actually doing something. Striking is not doing something. In fact, striking is doing nothing. They should hold themselves responsible for the contracts they signed, suck it up, and/or do something to help themselves instead of neglecting their contractual obligations and crying like babies.
