You've literally mapped my back and pain points. The right side of my back has been tight for the last 10 years since my back injury. Usually I have pain between the shoulder blades on the right side with pain that starts on the right side of my chest when exercising (running). Every month or two I'll have a few days where my erector spinae is tight but the pain is down low (around the sacro iliac joint). At times like now, my C7 has a sharp pain on the right side of it and I've got a stiff neck. All my issues are on the right side and the common denominator is my tight erector spinae.

Hey joe, I'm called Joe too (1996) , with a story almost spot on to how you've described, albeit but mine is a 5 year battle not 10, do you also get extreme pain in the C1/atlas? With trapezius/upper back widespread trigger points and heat? My lower-mid Thoracic area always in spasm. I message you to let you know I just a day ago had spinae erector steroids/anasethetic injections (roughly 6) then double greater occipital nerve blocks, and all i have done is cry my eyes out from releif if the constant torture. I could lay in bed without being twisted up in spinal discomfort and having a screwdriver in the back of my head. If it truly works for more than a few weeks i will be a new changed man and will no longer think ending yourself is the only way to end the pain. If you haven't already please go to pain management and request these injections they could very much change your life

That area without arrows is where I hurt. I can't find anything to help. It's been 15 years.

Most times when i bend over (i have to be mindfull of when i move around) and reach forward, say i dropped a pen from my sitting position, i lean forward and down to pick up the pen and i feel my back locking up right across the middle/lower/lumbar and then spend the next few weeks laying on a makeshift bed on the floor with pillow between my knees and using hot water bottles, can't stand straight and have a bent gait when standing with lots of pain. I always suffer from stiff neck pain, lower back pain (similar to sciatica) and mid/lumbar back pain. I walk a lot during the day, i keep myself busy with only minimal sitting down time at the computer and i also have a lumbar support chair. (i used to slouch for many years before i purchased the lumbar support chair, pain still comes and goes but my back doesnt lock up).

Hi, for the trigger point at the lower section of the erector spinae. Is the pain usually felt superficially, or can it be felt deeper inside?
@Nielasher Жыл бұрын
Hi James, It can be both remember your personal pain experience also has an influence. Subsequently it is difficult to ascertain whether the pain is superficial or deep. For more information or bto find a therapist please visit our website www.nielasher.com

Good God they aren't spines, they are (transverse) processes, or even vertebrae.
