I am an acupuncturist. Is there any advantage to my taking a course in DN? would I actually learn anything? I am also a licensed massage therapist.

Hi Christine, There is always something to learn from any course. Obviously as an acupuncturist you have many in fact probably more of the skills needed for Dry needling, where it may come in useful is the differences in approach as well as philosophy. You are to be applauded to being open to considering that there may be such differences, simply because you asked the question. NAT courses will give you a number of tools that allow you to progress professionally, and help you decide. Thank you very much for your feedback. I've had accupuncher and didn't really get any relief. I'm due my first dry needling session tomorrow my erector spinae right side hurts when I stand. I can only sit and lay down pain free ATM. After I saw the chriopractic woman last week she said try this as I don't need a chriopractor on my back. This is my last chance as medication doesn't work I'm on naproxen ATM it's not working.

Hi Dawnmarie …. Thank you for your feedback. Generally speaking needling should not be painful and certainly not harmful. Wishing you well 🙏
