This was amazing. Recognised that South African accent immediately. ,More to the point I have been suffering from acute pain around the Supraspinatus join at the head of the humerus radiating into my upper arm. I thought and was advised that it was most likely a partial tear of the supraspinatus and followed a regime of excercise that has had no effect whatsoever. This has been ongoing for over 3 months and I have long since resigned myself to the fact that i'll probably need surgery. However a short popped up on my feed which I followed to the video, after watching I used a dowel and attempted to approximate the trigger point pressure, very inexpertly and awkwardly I might add. Almost immediately I experienced an increased range of movement and a drop in my pain index. I am really excited that I'll regain full function and be able to hit the gym again after a few more tries. Thank you!

We're thrilled to hear our video helped! Keep practicing the trigger point technique gently and regularly. We wish you a speedy recovery and a swift return to the gym. 💪

So lee I have the same problem been 9 months. When I pressed down on this pain went away but after letting go pain returns. So Lee what exactly did you to completely eliminate the pain???

@@shamoonali786 Unfortunately a haven't completely eliminated the pain. Pressure at those points is quite awkward and has to be held for around 2 minutes at a time. I used the pointy neoprene covered end of a massage roller. However, a visit to a chiro with shoulder x-rays and ultrasound in hand and a bout of dry needling from the Chiro has helped a lot too. Unfortunately, it seems to be a long-term issue to resolve.

I wonder if it is the trigger point therapy that is making the muscle release, or the very calming and soothing way in which you speak?
