What is the difference between synthesis of lipids and of triacylglycerides? i understand both processes but dont know the functional difference. Thank you for your videos!

Sandra Abou Saad I would say that synthesis of lipids is more wider topic than synthesis of TAG. Coz synthesis of TAG is part of synthesis of lipids. In synthesis of lipids actually we can talk about different topics like synthesis of phospholipids, synthesis of fatty acids, synthesis of cholesterol and so on. If I wrote down anything wrong you can correct me .

triacylglycerols are lipids. Usually lipid synthesis is split into synthesis of storage lipids (tri's), membrane lipids (phospholipids), and cholesterol (steroid hormones).

in first acyl-coa is saturated and 2nd Acyl-Coa is unsaturated but you didn't tell 3rd Acyl-Coa ?
