HOW TO MAKE THE BEST TRINI CASSAVA PONE Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹

Trini Cassava Pone Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups finely grated sweet potato
2 cups finely grated pumpkin
5 1/2 cups finely grated cassava
2 1/2 cups grated coconut
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/4 cups margarine
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp mixed essence
Method:
1. Combine all ingredients well in a large bowl
2. Grease large baking pan ( 24×12)
3. Spread out mixture evenly and smooth out the top
4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 360°F for 1 hour and 15 mins or until golden brown
5. Allow to rest for about 1 hour before cutting into squares

My my my, OMG I know how to make Pone. But I am here to tell you guys, the people who prepared this video, you all did an excellent job. I will tell you why. I was looking around KZbin and couldn't find the way how Pone really suppose to be made. While looking around, I saw no one using two of the most original ingredients, Sweet-potatoe and Black-pepper. How could you leave then out lol This new generation is so different. You must have those 2 ingredients. And then they use milk. Not here to bash anyone but the old days are so much better. When I make mines I use 3lb cassava 1lb pumpkin 1coconut few raisin 1/4spoon butter 1tsp essence 1/tsp nutmeg 1/tsp cinnamon and sugar to taste I never use sweet potato before I will have try that one.but looks so delicious 😋
