For the Friedreich's Ataxia mnemonic, you can also remember iron accumulation by emphasizing Fe in "Lady GAA-GAA Fell" :)

For Huntington's, the CAG also describes what you mentioned was decreased: Caudate, Acetylcholine, GABA. Thanks!

Your videos have been really helpful !!! 👍 There are some changes in exam pattern from 4th May, 2020. Apart from increasing questions to test communication skills, they have removed patient care part from 'competency' section. It is really confusing. It will be really helpful if you make a video regarding changes and advantages/disadvantages due to changes. Thanking you in anticipation! 🙏

Important feature of Fragile X not present in this video - " Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) is present in about half of all patients with fragile X syndrome and while it is usually a benign condition, it may lead to mitral regurgitation. In fact, MVP is the most common valvular cause of chronic mitral regurgitation. Patients with fragile X syndrome are also at increased risk of developing focal seizures, which occur in 10-20% of cases. The underlying mutation of the FMR1 gene leads to imbalances of neurotransmission, causing neuronal hyperexcitability. The seizures can be with or without impaired awareness. The majority of cases have a good prognosis and seizures resolve spontaneously during childhood. "
