Ah, Terminal 1 brings back a somewhat hellish memory of the last time I was there with my family in the mid 1960's flying Den-Pit with a stop in St Louis. Well it was about 7PM when we landed there in heavy falling snow. Got to spend the night on those seats in Terminal 1. Still looks the same.

Just in time for the MD80 retirements! I managed to fly N984TW (last MD80 ever produced) back in February and N501AA (last MD82 in AA's fleet and the oldest) back in the end of July! At least Delta will be operating them for another year.

My first flight ever was in 1987 and it was TWA from LTR to STL. It was my first time ever and I remember Lambert being so huge. I even remember the "Spirit of St. Louis" was on display. Following that I flew on TWA a few more times in the 90's before they ended and each time, we ended up in St. Louis for our first layover. I even remember an Otis Black Button I found in a nook of the airport my first time but never saw it again afterwards. It was near an actual arcade that used to be there. I also remember riding the people movers and seeing an elevator with Innovation in which the light to the button was always slightly lit but would get brighter when pressed. I always thought that was strange. As always great video!

Pro tip, if you ever go back to AUS, after you get your bags, go upstairs to ticketing and cross the bridge instead of using the lower walkway. There will be less people and you end up at the rental cars.

All the MD-80s for AA are set to be retired after their final flight on September 4th. Sad to see the end of such an era for American. Last AA MD-80 flight (which i assume is why they kept one original AA MD-80 and not a ex-TWA one) is AA80 from DFW to ORD. On the same day is AA1999 from STL to DFW. The AA MD-80 was the first plane I ever flew on back in 2003. I will miss them dearly Even Delta is starting to retire their MD-88s and MD-90s. 2 of them this week alone have been flown out to San Bernardino for retirement. The MadDog sure has it's says numbered.

Hey, I forgot, does an on time departure mean an on time arrival? I thought an on time departure would mean the lavs were not serviced. :)
@kyulee575 жыл бұрын
An on time departure time doesn’t exactly mean that an on time arrival will always happen. The time of the flight can always depend on weather, for example, if you departed at 6:55PM, and the on time arrival at your destination was 8:25PM, but you arrived at 8:50, your arrival time was delayed by 25 minutes either during to some form of factor.(this is my best explanation that I can come up with.)

Sadly I've been Pres Circle for years now. Quality of the cars really depends on the location. Most big airport (corporate-owned) locations have a decent selection. Austin was a good one. DTW location was fantastic when I was there a few weeks ago. At the same time, PHX was pretty bad... really just depends.
