Sad to see them go... but some of Jet2 B757 are more than 30 years old. It makes sense that they replace them with more efficient planes... =/ By the way, I just booked one last trip on Jet2 B757, so we'll have one more in the future :)

Flew G-LSAJ way back 5 years ago, and with it being the only 757 I've flown on, it makes this airframe so special to me. And it's with a heavy heart that I say that today (3rd November) is her final day of passenger service (Along with G-LSAC) she has her last rotation to Palma and back later today which will end her commercial service after 34 years and 5 months. So much missed and forever remembered, Alpha Juliet💖💖

Great vid of the 757! I love Jet2 and their service..I've flown many times with them on their 737s and 757s on SKG-STN, SKG-MAN, HER-MAN, MAN-PMI also flew leased A332 MAN-HER. Their seat-pitch on the 738 is way better than other 737s because of the curvature of the seats. And i love the fact that they give you the choice to pre-order a meal like Condor, instead of buying the usual toastie/sandwich/pizza only. Actually i found their meals tasty and worth the 10-11pounds for my flights that last 3,5-4h. Their crew is also very kind and helpful and so is their airport staff. Whenever i get the chance i fly with them.

Thans a lot mate! :) I always had very nice experiences with Jet2. At the end, they are a pure holiday airline, so the onboard experience is something they really need to care about. They target exactly that type of UK passenger and I must say they do it extremelly well :)

@@martinquinn9007 ive not booked with jet2 for over 2.5 years easyjet holiday sells the same holidays as jet2 but a hell of a lot cheaper than jet2 and as i go away 4 times a year it saves loads compared to jet 2. jet2 have just hiked their prices since covid, my holiday to Lanzarote same dates same hotel nearly half the price of jet2

I flew on one of these a few years ago. Newcastle to Paphos, Cyprus. 4hr 45min out and 5hrs back. We were sat right in the middle of the plane like row 21. One drinks trolley started at the front the other from the back. It took an hour and a half before we got served and they had no food left. Always book the food in advance now. When I was a kid in the 90s I went to Ibiza on a 767 with Britannia, it was such a step up from Dan Air, it was a great plane.

Yeah, whenever possible I also book the food in advance. Not only because that way I don't need to wait for it, but because there is a big chance that the food won't be available when the trolley gets to you... particulary on airlines that only use 1 trolley for all the plane and you are seated in the back :)

Nice report I really rate Jet2. We have booked 2 holidays with them next year to Turkey. They have made a profit during June/July. Very slick and I think have their own handling agents at resorts.

Flew on her from Gran Canaria earlier in the year. Beautiful aircraft and mega smooth. Miles better than the 737-8 and newer A321s. Wish Boeing would build a newer version of the 757 but with it not losing any of its past luxury’s.

We flew with jet2 from fuerteventura last year on they're now retired 757, sat down in the seat, so cramped in row 6,,and the window surround was hanging down.We told the stewardess and she laughed and said it adds to the ambience ..was a great flight but the seats were so close my knees had indentations in them from the seat in front. Beautiful plane and sad they're being retired but the seating killed it for me. 😢

It's a real shame the 757 is being retired but given its age, it's kind of inevitable it would happen. The A321neo is just that much better in terms of fuel consumption, low noise and efficiency, but the 757 is still a beast of a plane. Maybe if Boeing gets their act together they might do a newer version.

Yeah, from Gatwick your best options is probably TUI. For Jet2 you would have to go to Stansted.

Great report, Jet 2 this year especially from Manchester have had a poor season, there poor 757 is way to long in the tooth nowadays and has suffered so many technical delays, along with there 737 fleet and also there new 321 NEOs have had there fair share of delays due to tech faults, flights have set of only to return to Manchester with issues. Only issue I have with Jet2 is the constant pre automated announcements throughout the entire flight, it really starts to get annoying, hence why I preferer TUI for holiday type flights, they seem more professional.

El software de las cámaras de Samsung se ha vuelto infumable desde la generación del S23: colores irreales, difuminados, contraste terrible... no se, feísimo, asqueroso. Tal vez a los ticktockers o para instagram es mejor (lo cual dudo mucho) pero para mi se han cargado el mejor teléfono del mercado. El S24 siguió exactamente igual y apuesto a que el S25 también lo hará.
