TRIP REPORT | TUI | First Time in the Boeing 757! ツ | Birmingham to Mallorca

TUI trip report onboard one of the TUI Boeing 757 from Birmingham to Mallorca (Palma) on a sunny and hot summer morning.
The experience onboard the TUI Boeing 757 was fantastic. I booked an extra-legroom seat and I felt like I could not choose a better seat: great wing-view and great legroom. Just perfect in all ways.
Another aspect that I would like to say about TUI is that, despite they don't have the pre-order hot meals option, the onboard menu is quite varied, offering a decent amount of options for good prices.
Last but not least, the views during all the flight were spectacular: lots of cities in the UK, the English channel, Toulouse, the Pyrenees, Barcelona and, finally, all Palma de Mallorca island during the approach. A really enjoyable flight!

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience Boeing got greedy and wasn’t prepared for ETOPS. They tried to use the 737 series, ultimately developing the MAX in response to the 320Neo series, but that is sadly failing. They are way behind Airbus in the smaller to medium size contest.

i have flown on a 757 for the flight time of around 3 to 4 hours to Madeira,It was very comfortable and an all round great experience.I also flew with tui.I will very shortly be flying on their 787 dream liner to Rhodes.

Wow! Madeira! That's super-cool! I've never flown to Funchal but I would love to do so, the problem is that usually, the flight are really expensive if you don't book a plane+hotel pack... I'm currently planning a flight on the TUI B787. They are operating it regularly from Manchester to Mallorca during the summer season, so I think I will try to fly that route soon! I have flown with TUI several times. The last time I flown on them was actually in July, when I went to the Dominican Republic, stayed there for two weeks. Went on their 787, booked extra legroom seats and it was a nice amount. Had the TV to watch a couple of films and TV shows, play games and the food was good.

You will find a good trip to be on. Also, when looking up your trips to see what flights are flying on 757s. Sometimes, I have noticed the 757s on early morning trips most of the time. But you will find a trip on that aircraft.... @@OnBoardHD

Had upwards of 25 holidays with TUI, both long, medium and short haul, 773,757 and 787! Marvellous until this year obviously... Mexico (3rd time, Premium Club) cancelled beginning of May..

What a thrilling way of flying in a 757 Lucas.Such a classic plane.I have only flew once back at the 90s from Athens to Thessaloniki and I still remember the amazing RR engine sound.Amazing engine view and excellent filming as always my friend.I really liked it .

Glad you flew on a 757 a classic aircraft.....did you know the flight deck is (if I remember) is one step below the level of the main aisle!!! You have to step down onto the flight deck!!!! And the sound of those classic engines you can really hear the power changes.......I flew on a Monarch Airlines 757 to/from Palma we had to do a "go around" it was awesome the spooling up of the engines.....brilliant. A true classic aircraft like I say and glad you flew on it. P.S. in the 70's ALL leg room on ALL aircraft was as per your seat BAC 1-11, 727, (Boeing)720, Caravelle etc. etc

@@OnBoardHD absolutely! Been to St.Lucia twice with them. Last year January 2018 and June 2019.flew on the dreamliner direct from LGW. Flight took 7 hrs each way. Love the 7878! Very good cabin service, food, and smooth flights each way. Didn't feel much jet lag due to their cabin pressure and clean air. I'm from St Lucia so that's my airline to home and back. I'd recommend TUI to anyone!!

Absolutely agree! The engine sound of this plane is amazing! So clean and so powerful! Got off the runway like a rocket but at reduced thrust. Couldn’t have been too full, but if it was, flaps were probably down pretty far. The 757-200 is definitely overpowered and has countless different thrust and flap settings for takeoff, only to mention the weights vary. This was a short flight though, just don’t know how many passengers but can hold well over 200 people.

Yep. Its well known that tye B757 is overpowered. Thats the reason why is not good for almost anu airline. A B757MAX would have been perfect to compete with the A321NEOxlr😐

I thought that too :) I was Monarch Cabin Crew for 15 years and have loads of lovely memories. It looks like that's one of the A321's that went to TCX and didn't get fully painted. Monarch changed a huge amount over the years, tried to save money on absolutely everything (including cutting our pay in half) and had dreadful management at the end. It could have been saved, but I'm glad it wasn't, because I'm TUI Cabin Crew now! Everything happens for a reason. I love working at TUI far more than I ever liked Monarch. (When we get back flying!) 💙 ✈

In my opinion Tui is the best airline for holidays i only went on the 737 but i asked a flight attendant if they had the Tui wave but it was only on the Dreamliner. Half way through the flight a flight attendant said to me i cant give you a Tui wave but i can give you a Dreamliner model plane and i also got to sit in the cockpit i was buzzing

To be honest, I've never booked a holiday pack with any of these airlines. I just booked the flight ticket. For the experience I had flying TUI and Jet2, both look like great options for enjoying the best possible holidays! 😊 I'm planning a trip on the TUI B787, let's see when I can do it. Greetings! ✈✈

Por cierto Condor es una de las últimas aerolíneas que operan B753... Pero también DE suele ser bastante caro, considerando que es una aerolínea que opera rutas vacacionales. 🙁 Encima a mi no me interesan mucho estos destinos porque prefiero ir de vacaciones a ciudades como Londres y tal... 😄 Qué tal va tu formación? Ya estás viajando por el cielo europeo? Jajaja

Que aunque ya he volado unas 20 o 30 veces, para mostrar el Boeing 757-300 merece la pena volver a Mallorca! jaja Pues empiezo el Lunes! Uno de mis primeros vuelos será a Hamburgo (miércoles)! jajj Saludos! :)

Last flew with TUI when they were still Thomson Airways. Took a break from flying from several years until 2019 when I flew with Thomas Cook. Then the world got a certain virus the year I wanted to fly with TUI again, rip.

A painless and uneventful flight - which is a good thing. While most European international flights serve some semblance of a hot meal, you weren't on the plane that long and the for-purchase choices were fully adequate. I wonder what the standard legroom seats were like.

Almost none airlines offer hot meals (for free) anymore in European flights. I just can think about Lufthansa (on 2:30h+ flights) and KLM. This flight was great! Even more when flying on the B757! 😊😊

I have flown with TUI many times from Arlanda in Stockholm, Sweden. The airplanes I have flown is the B737+Max (I think), B757, B767 and B787 what I remember: )

Ive flown on TUIs 757 from Manchester to Reus. Personally i really like the plane. It just seems really comfortable for me! And the flight i had was really good!

@@OnBoardHD ive flew on their 787 long haul from Manchester to Montego Bay. Again the experience was really good and it was very comfortable and the food was decent. But the best part was hearing the roar of those GE-NX engines on takeoff! Hope you have a great flight!

I always try to add as much info as I can to make the videos more interesting and different from all the thousands of other trip reports that you can find on KZbin. That adds a lot of work, yep, but I really enjoy all the process of recording and editing every video. At the end of the day... it's a hobby. :) I had booked a TUI flight from Gatwick to Tenerife South but it was cancelled due to the COVID crisis... so now I have a voucher for its value. As soon as the situation permits, I will fly again with TUI. Once again, thanks for your comment! It would be really nice to read your opinions in future videos! Have a great weekend! :)
