Thanks a lot for the wonderful recipes. You have new follower here and on Instagram. I have already made cakes according to your instructions several times and my customers are very satisfied. Now it's the time to make this cake and I need a 10 ”or 12” cake so I wonder how many ingredients I need?
@CakesbyMK3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! So glad to hear you and your customers are enjoying my recipes :D and thank you so much for your support! In this video the cake I made was an 8 inch cake if I remember correctly, but it was quite high - so it depends on how high you want your cake to be. If you're using a regular sized springform pan to make the cake then the recipe will be enough to make a 10inch cake, but any larger or higher then you will want to increase the quantity (for a 12 inch cake you will want to do about 1.5x - 2x the recipe depending on the height). Hope that helps!

Wassalaam! So glad to hear you're enjoying the videos :D And yes the cake does need to be kept in the fridge, and it comes to room temperature pretty quickly, so you can take it out about half an hour before you're going to serve it :)

@saadiyahm13774 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this recipe! Any tips on how to get the bottom of the cake pan out from under the cake? Would you remove the bottom of the cake pan before taking the sides off?
@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Saadiyah! So I would remove the side of the springform pan first, and then using a knife release one side of the biscuit base from the bottom of the pan (it should release really easily) and then just slide it off. Hope that helps and hope you enjoy the recipe! :)

@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your duas! :) Hmm I am not sure sorry as I've never used powdered cream before, but if the consistency comes out similar to a fresh whipped cream then I'm sure it should be fine :)

Absolutely amazing looking cake, really wanting to make this, but I'm unsure where and which brand of ingredients to get. As a fellow kiwi would you mind sharing which brand of Gelatin, chocolate and heavy cream you buy. Is the cream just a regular Anchor Fresh cream or something else? I haven't seen heavy cream as such at supermarkets here, or maybe it's that idk where to look😔 much appreciated, and I love your channel💕
@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Hello Imaan! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and hello from another Kiwi :). And yes absolutely - so yes heavy cream is referring to the Anchor or Pams cream that you get in the bottles at the supermarket (the liquid form that you need to whip up). In terms of gelatine, I use the Davis powdered gelatine (halal) that is usually found where the colour and baking things are found, and for chocolate I mostly use Whittakers, though I use Cadbury from time to time too. Hope that helps :)

@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely! Just make sure its really nice and cold before pouring the ganache or glaze over the top and just remember that it will need to be kept refrigerated so can't be left out for extended periods of time otherwise the mousse may start melting. Hope that helps! :)

Assalamu Alaikum sister, wouldn't the mixture be too high to fit in a standard spring form tin?
@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Wassalaam! Yes you're correct - a standard springform pan will be too low, so you will need to decrease the quantity of each mousse :)

@@CakesbyMK Thank you for your reply! I made it today in a 10 inch spring form tin instead of a 8 inch. I used the exact measurements you gave and it fit in the 10inch tin. It was all the way to the top. It tasted amazing! I wish you all the best and love your videos, all the way in Australia!

It looks so effortless.. I tried it and when I poured the gelatine in the cool cream it immediately hardened and the mousse had lumps of gelatin... do you have any tips how to prevent this from happening please
@CakesbyMK2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Hmmm try using warmer gelatine as this might prevent it from hardening so quickly and also letting your cream sit at room temp just for about 5-10 mins may help as well :)

I'm so mad!!!! I whippee the cream, then poured the melted chocolate and the chocolate solidified and it's hard like a rock. I didn't even finish folding it into the cream!!!
@CakesbyMK4 жыл бұрын
Ohh no! I'm so sorry to hear your chocolate solidified! This is most likely due to either the whipped cream being over whipped or chocolate not being warm enough. It could even be the type of chocolate being used (chocolates that have too much cocoa butter are not great for using in chocolate mousses). Hope these troubleshooting tips help for next time!
