Hey you too hope y’all are doing okay. Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been watching the series driving Mum and Dad mad it’s on KZbin as a playlist and you have Professor Matt Sanders himself and also a girl called Claire Halsey. She’s a technical psychologist. I’ve been interested in the triple P program for a long time, even though I’m not a mum, but I do have two nieces and two nephews. The driving mum and dad mad series features from the UK and it was on TVALONGNGNGNGNGNGNG time ago but it’s on KZbin if you wanna take a look. What you guys say is on point especially what Laura says (I do apologise I’m using a dictation software for the blind so if your name comes out wrong I apologise) but what you say about leaving kids alone when they’re behaving nicely and jumping to it whenever they’re not. I think that’s a trap everybody falls into and we just have to train ourselves to think the other way. Personally, if I was looking after the kids and they were behaving nicely, I probably would give a bit of praise but then sit back and then as soon as they do something I’m jumping into it but we’ve gotta do that the other way around because I’ve heard people say even if you’re smacking your child or shouting at them or whatever it’s still attention and kids want attention. I used to think the quiet time timeout routine would confuse kids because for example for a quiet time they would maybe have to go sit in a corner of the room The same room as the action and then if they carried on misbehaving they’d be moved out but it makes sense. Also, I love the stop and start thing y’all were talking about and yeah I totally agree if a child was hitting or swearing or spitting then it would be timeout. Also, I like the idea of the grind rules personally if it was me, I’d be saying that the adults need to follow them as well because there were a couple of episodes of the driving mum and dad mad series where the parents did nothing but shite and swear unexpected the kids to behave themselves that’s not gonna work. Also, I’m just going to end by saying I love the incentive on the timer thing. I think that’s amazing and that way more often than not whether it’s a takeaway and soda pop for dinner or an extra book at bedtime or whatever it’s easy enough to follow just do what you agreed you would do before the time goes off on bingo! I love it, thank you guys so much.

Be reminded that the orginal of Positive Parenting is Adler's theory and his colleague's approach, Rudolf Dreikurs, from Austria, and then they moved to the US.
