Been racking my head trying to design something like this for my wood lathe to do soft metals. Such a cool design for any lathe wood or metal. Thanks for finding this!

How interesting ❤. I am not at metal craft at all. My grandfather was a turner and in my childhood I visited his factory with a lot of interest. 🙂

Anouther interesting video! I had a thought earlier about an episode that outlines what a day in the life of a journeyman Smith looks like. How much work did you put in to get to where you are now. How much time do you to put in each week to make the prices of art that you do. Is there hope for someone like me who is a full time engineer to ever get to journeyman. What were the biggest hurdles for you.

That sounds a little sketchy. This works well on steel and is very safe. Thanks for watching, Adam.

Having run a metal lathe and many other machinist tools I can tell you that this is very cool and can really have a lot of uses but this is also extremely dangerous please be extra careful anytime you use this tool we wouldn't want to see you get hurt

I could see this being maybe even more useful for doing very fine wood turning as well if you ever had the reason. Probably easier to use on some plastics or base metals, but yeah, the USD-AUD conversion is very much in the American's favour and shipping from here to USA is much cheaper. My next knife stuff order from the US is probably going to cost a kidney

It's a really cool tool and I'm sure the next time I do the handle and quillions for a quillion dagger I'll be pulling this out! Thanks for watching, Kris.

I have an old Enco lathe that a buddy gave me. It was in rough shape and I had to restore it. If I was to buy one, I’d get the Precision Mathews, which is the same company as my mill. 👍. Thanks for watching.
