I can say I've seen it. Both my grandparents have been married for over 50 years and adore each other. My parents have been married 27 years and I can count the amount of arguments I've seen on one hand. They are best friends! Now i've been dating someone for nearly 18 months and we haven't fought yet. And i've never been hapier or found someone who connects with me like he does. And he can say he's come from the same sort of background as I do. So perfect love does definently exist!!!!

i LOVE this song. for me, "perfect love" is being happy just being with the one you love through good times and bad. i love our quiet, ordinary lives -- drinking coffee, talking, going for a drive, etc. i always imagined grand romance but what i found was so much less it's perfect.

My parents have been tgoether for 34 years, both their second marriage. Growing up never saw them fight or raise their voices or anything. They adore eachother. Growing up seeing that was wonderful. My husband's parents were also very much in love. His father died suddenly when my husband was 6 but his mom, to this day, is in love with her husband and never had any desire to try to find someone new. I felt exactly like that when I was younger. I had looked for any indication that ppl were really in love and cared about each other, and honestly I just didn't see anyone. At all. I'm sorry you've never known a couple that has stayed together or made it through the hard times together. Seems too many people just find it easier to run away rather then take the time to communicate, listen, and truly be a good partner. My husband and I have already made it through many hard times. @GaCountryGirl024 I dont know what you consider "lasting" but here is our story..in a nut shell: I met him (neighbors) when I was 3, "feel in love with him" when I was 5. ha ha I was smitten. When I was 10 I told his momma I was goin going to marry him when Igrew up. When I was 14 and he was 16 we started "going together". When I was 17 I moved in with him, got married when I was 18, and we had our daughter 6 months later. We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the 16th of January.
