I don’t think that’s the message tbh! The vacuum is obviously not really working, so for me it looks more like her trying to erase the traces his exes left but she’s unable to. Cleaning up after the exes doesn’t make a lot of sense, as she clearly states that a lot of them were actually good (for him and to her too).

In the bridge when she is so quiet saying “do you think about her?” like as if she’s annoying her BF with her insecurity and questions for the millionth time and then the loud chaotic passive aggressive like “whatever don’t tell me, it’s fine I don’t care!” vibe with the following lyrics She understands her own music and writing and also the concept of music and writing so exceptionally well, the way she can make you understand exactly what she is saying by using the slightest changes and nuances, anything at all - if she can take a visual cue or a key change to make you feel an extra layer, she’s going to find a way to do it. The fact she’s still so young and so advanced, like she is one with music, makes me feel confidently that we have only seen the beginning of what she could do. If she wasn’t famous, you can just tell she would still be making music on the street just for herself. The passion is insane and genuine and so cool to see

4/5 of the deluxe tracks were released as exclusives (one per each of the four vinyl variants for GUTS) so all of the songs (except so american) were technically released before but this was their official release!! so american was only recorded in the weeks leading up to guts (spilled) dropping and its olivias first proper love song :)
