The reaction everyone was waiting for!! The song is soooo good!! It's interesting that you mentioned the eighties, because for me it felt more 90s, but after all both decades are kinda similar, the 90s take a lot of inspiration from the 80s, it's like a continuation melt with an evolution. (And it's totally what this song feels comparing to the whole SOUR album). I totally agree about her maturity, her voice, the lyrics, and even the music video... We're really entering in a new era for her and I'm so excited! I also like that she didn't change completely what makes her, her. Like the music, the way it begins very slowly, it's always very light to then go hard on the chorus. For the lyrics, I wouldn't say it feels less personal than SOUR, but more metaphorical, and if the album has the same vibe, I think it can be better than SOUR!

I like that the video starts with traditional Vampire cliches, in the visuals, but upends that to make it clear it's about Vampires of an entirely different type.

Olivia's intro reminds me of the Beatles. Nothing specific, but just a vibe. Not sure if that's what you mean by "it sounds familiar". I wrote this in Olivia's official video: she cures my nostalgia. Whether it's 60s, 90s, 00s, Olivia is great at capturing whatever you want to call it. She's just great.

Oh my god I thought I was alone thinking this!! Especially jealousy, jealousy - the instrumental definitely has some Beatles vibes!
