We have similar elbow defense techniques in a Street/prison fighting style called 52 blocks. However, I’ve learned different ways to apply a variety of tactics through this video. Thanks!

Yes, there are definitely some similarities to 52 Blocks, Keysi Fighting Method, and Defence Lab DNA Fight Science.

Nice! So when it comes to straight punches and most importantly the straight cross how should i block it? i like to grab my head 1-2 cm above the ear and bring the right elbow in with slight body rotation to cover the mid line while keeping the left arm to parry the weak jabs. What do you think about this assymetric blocking concept for the long range engagement until you can enter with the frame? Finally i want to see an uppercut defense because it seems that the frame leaves you vulnerable for uppercuts. Good work anyway!

Straight punches defense works the same way, you're still using your frame defense, but it's closed off more. When you start playing with the Frame Defense, especially sparring with it, you'll realize that it is a viable tool. In long range, we are fighting from our fence position and entering in with Frames or grappling "trapping". The "uppercut" defense is always used as an example, and there are multiple answers to this: 1, we are not just staying there "static" in a frame, you are always moving, and attacking with it. 2, frames aren't out only tool, and frame 1 is not the only "frame" we use either. Each frame has it's application and place. Frame 1 is just your base layer. I consistently reference this video when taking about "boxing defense" using TRITAC Frames: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYOzm317qrSCeZI 3, I highly suggest sparring and testing the frames. At first it's a little "awkward", but soon it starts to feel very natural and instinctive. Thanks! Matt
