Is good and cool to put it together and see the final work but if u can get a sump for cheap on Facebook market or OfferUp is better u will save time and headache in case u need more space

Triton method doesn't use filter socks. The first chamber is the refugium and the second is the skimmer chamber.

Take your time the first baffle were the filter socks go and the last we’re the bubble trap goes they a bit of a pain to do a clean job but is possible and but if you can find a sump already build for what you need get it you will avoid the headache 🤕 and you can get something nicer and save money in the process

What I thought was going to be a cheap sump end up been a 200$ DIY for that price I could off find something better in offer up but they look nice and you build it for your liking

The blue just paint is krylon royal blue and when u paint the bottom do it from the outside the back same thing I use krylon black for silicone I went to petco and got the one they sale also the black silicone

Bought this sump kit based off of your videos. I was super happy with quality of the project. The filter sock area is definitely a chore but I’m really happy with it. Did you ever get the lid made? How is this sump performing for you?

So far is good couple things I would off done differently but I’m happy with and is still in operation right now the lid never got it to be made cause I wanted as much gas exchange possibly,the lid was going to help for evaporation reduction and make the sump area look cleaner but was not going to let oxygen get in

make sure to make your lids from lexan, not acrylic... that way it wont warp.

Not really sorry u just has to place them we’re u want them and be as cleanest possible,what I did I place the baffle were I wanted and with a marker I mark the outside of the so I see we’re is going then put glue on the bottom of the baffle first let it settle for few mnt then do the sides

I took my time laying the silicone as cleanest possible but then in the outside I cut pieces of contact paper to make it look niters All the u see in the outside is lined of contact paper I think that’s the name covering the silicone for a cleaner look
