Sump Kit Installation

Just ordered and installed their 40B kit. The only tricky part is getting the second baffle in... trying to guide 4 braces and the sock panel at the same time is a challenge, but it all comes together. The kit is awesome, and EMS were fantastic dealing with my 1000 questions :D I’m getting a smoked piece of cast acrylic to divide the sump chamber longitudinally... ones side will house the skimmer and the other will be a refugium. The water will flow into the two sections separately, so that my chaeto isn’t trying to feed on skimmed water. Anyway, fantastic kit and a great company!!

For which unit? The 20L fits 4x7" and the others fit 4x14" socks

$180? The kit is $108 and a 20L during a sale is $20. You should be able to build the entire thing for around $140. A similar sized acrylic sump with less features (aka 1 sock that isn't a drop in) will easily be atleast $100 more. When you get into our larger systems, the difference in price becomes even more staggering. You can easily spend double or more for a fully acrylic sump. You want to move the baffle around to fit your equipment better and better utilize the space, that $600 off the shelf sump is now over a grand. The all acrylic sumps are great if you want your sump area to be like a second display, with color matching equipment and plumbing, but if you just want a good functioning system for a good price, you cannot beat our systems.
