Triumph = refinement + practicality !!!

I think the scout is much better looking. I also Love the scouts transmission. I would have to agree however, the Triumph is a much better bike. And...in ten years they will still be making Triumphs. I have owned 3 Victory motorcycles. Polaris stands by nothing they sell. Also, the Triumph begs for customization. The Indian is what it is.

I don't find the clutch heavy at all on the Scout but I guess it about what you become accustomed to.

Good honest assessment of two different cruiser style bikes. My own opinion favours the overall refinement of the Speedmaster. I've ridden super powerful litre sized sport bikes, but cruisers for me are about relaxo style riding. The Speedmaster has more than enough power for the highway. If you are not going to be racing, the extra power of the Indian (what a crazy name, right? That whole North American "Indian" deal is whack IMO. I can't imagine what you guys must think. So incredibly stupid.) anyway, the extra top end power is not worth the price of a rough engine and a heavy clutch. I like its style, but not nearly as much as the Triumph. Both nice bikes, but I'm definitely going with the bonney. Good job with the video. Cheers!

Tested both bought the Triumph the styling imo is better and is the better handling bike and the torque is amazing. The indian scout styling screams 50+ old man style it actually looks dorky.

Great review, funny how both bikes are too big for the city in you in India, and for us in Texas they are consider small good enough to drive around town.

Can I disagree... well I will disagree no matter... I love my SCOUT.. I just did 3000kms on it and she is my bae.. the only grouse I would agree to is the clutch!! It's heavy but then kids don't ride these bikes... I rode with 15 more scouts and not one of them complained beyond once or twice! And FYI... Indian has sorted out the clutch issue with the 2018 Scout. When you spend so much on a motorcycle..you got to be in love with it... and sorry... I could never love the Speedmaster enough!!

Everyone here siding with the bonneville but I can’t. My dads scout is a master piece of a bike.

I am pretty sure I would choose the Bonnie over the Indian Scout. in terms of aesthetics I don't think there is any rival. But I dont think there are more beautiful sounding engines than those of the Indian scouts. That deep rumble is unlike anything else.

Great video, guys - I haven’t seen many videos comparing these two Would have loved to see some drag races and roll-on races between these two legends - interesting how the Indian version of the Indian Scout doesn’t feature a Native American on its tank livery… I’m am surprised you found the Scout clutch heavy at all - fantastic power delivery and a brilliant belt drive. The Indian Scout pumps out 97+ Nm of torque and 100hp - so I’m wondering if you actually rode it before you voiced your opinion. The Speedmaster flat out loses on power and torque. I do prefer mid controls to cruiser styled forward controls (foot controls, that is) - and the Speedmaster wins here because you can get a factory mid control set up from Triumph but have to rely on after-market kits for the Indian 😢 - probably not an issue in the US, but could be a factor for Indian or Aussie customers. I ride a Yamaha XJR1300, but am moving to the US where Yamaha never released that model …so I’ll have to make a switch soon - greetings from Oz 🇦🇺

It's not the engine refinement or the back saddle. It's the riding posture that's Triumph's advantage. Go on a highway cruise for 5 hrs straight on the Indian Scout on Indian roads, you will come back without a spine. Poor review. It's sucks!

So you’re saying the Speedmaster is better for highway? Very important question

@@turanamo wth? I found it funny that they were acting like the speedmaster was just for “city roads.” I suppose he was just defending his bike…but these reviews can cause someone to get the wrong bike. So now the Speedmaster is now back in the lead as my next bike. I was looking at the bobber, but you can easily turn the Speedmaster to a bobber. Not the other way around. Thanks though

On situations like this compete like what we see in top gear and the grand tour epitome of motor journalism. Go from point A to point B in city go from point A to B on highway. But then the best to judge is get a test ride, period

This review is full of contradictions. Tall gearing helps in not fidgeting much with the gears? Calling Indian scout power cruiser? It's a classic cruiser. 😑 I don't want to point out everything. Damn people.
@redsolocup78545 жыл бұрын
Arun Antony yeah it’s not considered a muscle cruiser but it does run 12 second quarter mile times. Most cruisers can’t say that I suppose.
