Not mamy people know but the reson why MV Agusta engine feel so race like and why the whole bike feel so track focus. Is the counter rotating crankshaft(like all motoGP bikes) to counter the gyroscopic forces made by rotation of the wheels.

It is crazy the difference in input control between a bike with bars and a sporty clip on bike. The first time on clip ons i was confused at why the bike is turning so well but i barely feel im even using the bars. It just forces the lean, it falls over, and everything works stupidly well. And then you get the bar bikes and no matter how much lean i put into them i ALWAYS am aware of my hands on the bar and how much im using the bars to steer. Its not a bad thing just noticeably different. Corner confidence (at least for me) is down a little since you can feel how twitchy it can be through the bar (if you fuck it up). Dem sport bikes man, they just know their way around a corner.
@Firestorm6374 жыл бұрын

So the question is, do you want the bike that tries to tell you that it's a moto2 for the road, or do you want the bike that actually IS a moto2 for the road? Gotta go with MV hands down, if special bike is what you're into, then they're hard to beat. Also, call me crazy but I actually love its more oldschool non-tft digital dash. It's easy to read, shows what you need to see, it's not cluttered with small texts and all the colors of the rainbow. I ain't Pocahontas lol, just give me some good old dual tone dash and let me focus on the riding. My only nitpick is that the exhaust is so standard looking, whereas the stock exhaust on the F3 is so unique and fitting for this bike. I don't get why any decent exhaust company haven't made a performance exhaust that also matches the stock one in terms of looks, or at least better reflect the character of the bike. This RC spec exhaust looks more at home on a Kawasaki or something..
@cjdavid4114 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of aftermarket exhaust companies that make 3 pipe exhausts for the MV. Firetong International, FM Project, Zero, QD, and HP Corse all make some very nice (and expensive) systems. I ride a 2018 F3 675 and I love it. I tried a friend's Daytona 765 and honestly I found the TFT dash to be a bit distracting because it is so big and bright. Since the F3's LCD is so small it's easy just to forget about it and ride.

@cjdavid411 Жыл бұрын
@@CorBor69 got mine for $10k. Biggest issue with these bike are that the stock battery is complete crap and if not properly charged it will kill your sprag clutch. I replaced my OEM battery with a Yuasa and made sure that it was on a charger every night. Also, the rear brake is basically just cosmetic. MV put the rear master cylinder too close to the engine so it’ll cook the seals and fluid. Pro-Italia replaced my rear master cylinder under warranty twice in the year I had my bike, and then finally put a bleeder valve on my ABS unit and told me to bleed the rear brakes any time I felt it going soft. The other solution is to buy rear-sets that relocate the rear master cylinder to further away from the engine. All of that said, I miss mine a lot. I was forced to sell it when I lost my job and now that I’m employed again I’m looking for another one. The sound is intoxicating and the looks are just timeless.

Yammie! I need your help! I've had my CB650 for a couple of years and put about 25,000 miles on her. I love the bike, but it's just not as fun as it used to be. I'm looking for something with a bit more umph! I test rode a 600RR, and I like the top end, but I'm not a fan of it's weak low end. I'm also an Iron Butt rider, so supersports are not ideal even though they are tons of fun. Something with a fairly neutral seating position for long rides, but will still allow me to tuck in and enjoy some nice curvy roads once in a while would be awesome! Most importantly, it has to look good! I guess I'm looking for a Dad bike that doesn't look like a Dad bike. Any suggestions?

Clammy dude. Off topic, but you should review some very old biker movies and TV shows. Did you know that there was a tv show featuring a guy riding all over the country on his HD Sportster, was called "Then Came Bronson"? Back in 69, with Michael Parks. Somewhat entertaining. Have you seen the movie "CC and Company", with Joe Namath riding on his zebra striped chopper? He was trying to date Ann Margret in that one. And when you say naked motorcycle, be sure to check out "Vanishing Point". Not a biker movie, but there is a scene where the hero is being helped by a chopper dude. When they show up at chopper dudes place, there is a nude young blond girl riding around on a Honda (90?). Yep, naked bike. Then there was "Hell Ride" in 2008, strange movie sponsored by Tarentino. Bikes were by Flyrite choppers, not sure they are still around. But stay away from "Biker Boys", a real dead in the water movie.

There's a 765 moto 2 for sale near me and I am so tempted, but what bothers me is that I can't help but feel that it's (mostly) a street triple 765 RS in a carbon frock, and the used price is 4k more than a brand new street triple 765 RS. Sure, it has premium parts, but my skill level won't notice the difference, and I'd be terrified of dropping it and breaking that very, very expensive fairing. But...I still want it :)

Depends on what you intend to do with the bike. The MV is awesome and it's so, so special. BUT, if you don't live around a good MV dealer, servicing it can be a pain.
