Well for me it's Harley as i love to ride steadily no rush, the exhaust sound is also very good and it's a big bike great for tall riders.👍🏻

Thanks for the comparison, while Triumph wins in terms of quality, features, peppiness, the Harley offers presence, king of the road and importantly laid back experience which I feel many customers will appreciate. Hope Hero-Harley don't mess it up in aftersales and cost of ownership department.

I will pick x440 . Better sitting posture and comfort. I will ride under 110 most of the time and Harley's engine compression ratio will deliver me that speed without the engine getting stressed for longer rides.

Even the engine of x440 will last for many years can't say for speed, afterall giving a lot of stress to engine to deliver more power ultimately reduces the shelf life.

Another difference to add would be that the Speed 400 looks a true blue Triumph, where the X440 seems un-Harley with bits and pieces put together by different teams- it just doesn't have the visual flow of the Triumph.

I have a strong feeling about the compression ratios of both the motorcycles. The Harley should be performing well for long rides due to its lower compression ratio and may provide longer engine life too. Triumph intentionally has gone with a 12.5 ratio that may be good for motorcycles for college students who like to rev and push throttle for shorter rides. Please share your expertise in this point of view

High compression engines will lose their charm when years go up, as you said I'll prefer Harley for the long run specifically for its services. However Harley is going to sell more due to service centre

@@md8uniya684 I visited Hero showroom yesterday to gather more info. The Harley X440 will be sold through Hero and after sales service too. That's much better than Honda Big Wing and way better than Triumph

I had bought a Duke 200 10 years ago. Enjoyed the revvy nature of the engine. As I grew older, I was kinda losing touch with motorcycling. Until I had to borrow a friend's Pulsar N250 for an errand. Immediately remembered why I loved motorcycling. Decided to get another machine. This time I was looking for a comfortable and calmer machine, but still fun to ride in the city as that's where I would be riding most of the time. Was leaning towards the Honda CB350 Highness. But suddenly the Speed 400 broke cover. I was instantly smitten by the classic roadster design, but with all modern componentry. I was also apprehensive about the high compression ratio. But one test ride dispelled all misgivings. The power delivery is completely different from the KTMs. It is smooth and linear till 6k rpm and is still fun when you twist the throttle. After the test ride I was convinced of my choice and went ahead with it. Regarding the engine longevity, I can't really comment on it, but Bajaj has evolved a lot with their KTM collaboration. And the service interval for the Speed 400 indicates that Triumph is confident on the mechanicals to hold up well. Point is, do not assume based on the specs on paper. Take proper test rides of all the machines you've shortlisted and then decide.

They should have avoided the slight angular finish when looked from sideways about the rear seat portion , like other retro triumph models where it looks flat and nice and ofcourse the tank should have had the complete look instead of the recesses made on front to accommodate the handle turn .

He was struggling to find big advantages of harley over triumph. Triumph definitely overall is good option here. But if someone think it'll be short for them. Then I'll suggest to wait for the scrambler 400.

I am a small rider and wants naked styled bike rather than cruiser, so I would prefer this triumph speed 400. It is lighter then harley x440 and price is very competitive . Earlier I was thinking for dominor 400 but that too is very heavy.

I’ve a Kawasaki Vulcan S which meets ‘road presence’ requirement, so I booked this lean and mean machine in a split second decision (even though I wasn’t seriously considering a second bike) soon after I heard about its stunning price.. (and I wouldn’t have bought 440X in any case)

Brother You made a great choice if you are buying Harley 440x. The price you paid is justified. Hero has better service record than bajaj. And Triumph bikes are bot serviced well in India especially at bajaj. They will sell you the bike in offer but later they will suck your blood in servicing cost. As you know Triump is just assembled at bajaj where as harley440x is completely made in India by Hero. So major difference is parts cost and servicing expenses. You have made a great choice. Also bonus Harley Davidson Feels so manly and strong where as Triumph name feels like some ladies inner wear brand 😆

@@svmr5509 To each their own ! What made me decide to book the Speed are its clean and refreshing looks and acclaimed fit & finish. On the contrary, X440 looks like a ‘confused’ bike which is neither cruiser nor a roadster. Also, I like the ‘Triumph’ brand more than ‘Harley’ brand. Bajaj which owns 48% of KTM and makes KTMs in India has much better experience in making premium bikes than Hero which is getting into a partnership for the first time. Also, Speed is to be sold worldwide while X440 is made for India, so Speed is expected to be a more quality product, not to mention advanced features like Ride by wire, TC, liquid cooling etc.. I’ve Triumph sales and service centers within 30 minutes of riding distance and I’ve been owning a Kawasaki 650 for 5 years, so service related issues with international brands aren’t new to me..

Honda anyday is an excellent bike but after seeing the specs of Speed 400, I'm getting confused specially after watching the experience of Kiran Sachin with Triumph. They could have made it look still better if the gap between the back portion of the seat and the tyre was little less and the dent like cavity on the tank to accommodate the handl e swing was avoided .

When you sit on it, the gap goes! Just speaks about the beautiful ride quality. Shumi mentioned this on motorinc! If you will will see the ride pics, you will see no gap when the person is sitting

Quite right , when we sit on it the gap gets camouflaged., but being a international brand , Triumph ,and a retro design , these small details must have been taken care of , the bike should look good from all angles in my opinion ,so do all their models, I mean it must look elegant without the rider sitting on it .

The Speed400 does not have the Truimph DNA as the other Triumph motorcycles do. It has linear torque all throughout whereas the Harley has low end torque that begins at 2000rpm that makes it powerful at low gears right away. The low end to mid torque is very essential for maneuvering on indian roads. The Speed400 has the best suspension of the two but due to lack of character, one would outgrow the Speed400 in a short time.

Why is liquid cooling a pro? It heats more thats why they gave it liquid cooling. You will still feel heat around your legs and much more than the x440 oil cooled one. Also liquid cooling is difficult to maintain. You would not want it to fail in a remote area. It's just another headache.

only downside is where is service center triumph officially stated that this product will not be sold through bajaj outlets that means no service center and no proper maintance of bike but harley will sold in hero outlets and service will be done in hero center

@@sarthaktiwari8515 yaap that's where i am have doubt about triumph since i am from north east there is not even a single triumph showroom here not even in guwahati but in my town we have hero,bajaj, RE,JAWA-yezdi,aprilia vespa,yamaha,suzuki,honda and tvs most of the brands are here now if i want to buy 400X i can get it at hero showroom but if i want to get triumph there is no way i have to go to kolkata to get the bike and even if i want to get it serviced i have to go to kolkata if they were to provide speed 400 at bajaj i would have booked it right away but no they are not going to sell at bajaj outlet so there is no way that i am going to wait for triumph to open their outlets in northeast god knows when its gonna open

actually not happy with the triump. People online will comment anything And not all praising about triumph are going to buy it.Only sales figure will justify. And most of them will be shocked to see Harley selling more than triumph. Harley is a better package and very practicle bike for India and I feel its gonnabe very comfortable to ride long distance and very very pleasureful for home to office or short rides. And it will be very very pocket friendly bike as its the first international brand bike made by Hero. Its a veryvery proud moment to own one. Very musculine and great road presence. Sorry for people who praising triumph , i mean it looks so basic reminds me of bajaj calibar nothing new in that. boring same old design RE hunter comes out to be a more affordable and better package. Looks great too.

Hero 100c. Bike crusiing speed 60 ton75 In 150cc cbz xtreme cruiser at 85 to 95 best no stress on engine In 200 cc xplyse only 85 to 100 like 150cc Hero now with 440cc big engine but only 130 max minus 20speed =110 easily cruiser on This bike.harly but 150 n200 cc bike can touch this speed. In this big engine top end is very disappointed..compare to 440cc my current bike cbz run on tour trip on 100 km easily.. this harly good move by Hero but 440 cc mean almost 500cc segment we need more top end attest cruiser min 120 to 140 need now days bylecause India have 6 lane highways now. If we need 140 crusing without stress Hero should keep max speed 160 then minus 20km then we can ride attest on 140

Even tho triumph 400 segment is made here in India the British made sure that they standout in there finishing n engine refinement dk why some wanna be youtuber's & people are so blind and idiot to compare d x440 wid dis Beauty . Even tho service can be issue wid speed 400 for people not staying in metro cities but it's still fine if one takes good care of the bike no need to go to service stations before the desired service/time

Nowhere near! Dude Harley is a cruiser! The exact engine characteristic of a Harley! Shumi himself stated behind the bar it’s an actual Harley! The entire feel(size, engine, torque and sound). Triumph is high reving engine. The fit and finish needs to improve on the harley( which will happen, if not today in the next 6 months because the finishing is not a big deal to achieve after such feedback). With the triumph, the engine parts and reliability is still a concern+ the engine vibes after 80 is not a good sign( every influencer has stated that). For touring Harley is better! So depending on your need! If you like a KTM then triumph is a better buy! If you like an RE then Harley does everything better(more torque, more presence, more comfort and a butter smooth engine)

Bhai hindi english ke chakkar mein channel kee waat lag gayee hai. English waale Hindi review se chidh jaate Hain, aur Hindi waale English se. Aur choonki hindi space mein bhaari bhaandgiri chal rahee hai, to English hee theek hai abhi ke liye

This Triumph will compete with the likes of Duke390, Dominar etc. Harley is more in the ballpark of Honda CB350 and RE. This one seems to be similar to the rip offs that Bajaj is pulling with the likes of Huskies etc.

Hero really ruined Harley with their cheap wiring quality. Triumph is much better than Harley in terms of quality. But Triumph lacks road presence. It essentially looks like a repainted FZ.

I was surprised at how misinformed you are as to Harley Davidsons performance technology.. True that they are renowned for their cruisers but their performance based R&D is world class.. Besides you cannot compare apples to oranges and even though everyone does it, they should do so unbiased. When you say that Harley has little or alight advantage in low or miid range torque compared to Triumph u are very mistaken. It has a big advantage. At 4000. Rm it gives its peak power as compared to 6000 rpm on the Triumph . U don't ro dat unless under extreme riding...... Two different beasts with different characters and purposes, made for 2 different kind of riders..

It’s as a big as a 125cc! Look at the spec sheet. Or if you want to see in a video, there are reviews on KZbin with a compare between the highness. The tail light of the triumph ends at the first half of the bigness seat! And Harley is even bigger than that
