Great calm and useful review , I'd ride this in 2023 . Greetings from an ex HD and now triumph bobber owner in Scotland

I have a 2015 America, last year, and a 2013 Suzuki S40. Almost identical bikes to you. I love the uniqueness of both bikes. I get a lot of questions from HD riders about the America. The Triumph is very reliable but parts and especially accessories are difficult to find. HD has the advantage there. I also don't like the chain final drive. A guy in England makes a belt conversion for it. I find it has a low center of gravity and is much lighter than a HD Softail. I left my stock exhaust on and it has broken in with miles by getting a bit lowder with a niece rumble.

Heavy? Its so light! If compared harleys or even honda vt 1100

Not really fake, it’s functional, a throttle body made to look like a carb, saying that it’s fake insinuates that it serves no purpose other than aesthetics, not unlike the airbox on a v-rod, or the swingarm on a softail.

Hi. Iv just put your exhausts on my 2013 America. I did have the shorter ones on off road ones.. just asking would u know if I now need to retune my bike to compensate the exhaust change. Thanks for any info. Iv put them on and they seem fine

Thanks for checking in. I would say it's always a good idea to let an expert look at issues like this. Off the record, I'll say you're probably fine.

Thanks for the vid! I just passed my MSF Basic course and am looking for a beginner bike at 49 years of age and 6ft. I tested out a used 2007 America yesterday and it was a fun ride. They've also a 2013 Speedmaster for just a little bit more. Do they handle differently or is it virtually the same? The seat seemed a little more cramped, but now I want to go test drive it as well.

I’m told it’s the same machine except chrome and a tach on the Speedy. I think all bikes have tiny differences in feel and performance. Congratulations and have fun!

Man! I love this motorcycle (came across it today looking for something else) and now that I learned yours was featured in Longmire i am hooked. I am 6.2 and a few years pass my 50 so starting to embrace the realities of ergonomics and age without giving up on my passion (motorcycling). So i am seriously considering this. The alternatives are Goldwyn and R-1800 Classic. Will see were my tush ends on top of. Great review btw

not sure if you've gotten one yet, or something else, but I'm 6'3" and fit perfectly on my 2012 Speedmaster (same ergonomics). It is a great bike.

Thanks for the insight. It seems that Triumph and H-D are a bit secretive about what gets built where. I think the first Taiwan Triumph I rode was the Street Twin, and it was a knockout. Best I can tell, my 09 Speedy was Hinckley, but perhaps not. My Honda Ridgeline pickup was built in Alabama. Can’t fight progress

Is this one any more reliable than the new ones? Read reviews where new ones rust, parts become loose, trans problems, etc
@poormansmotorcycleclub75813 жыл бұрын
You can’t quite get the same machine new anymore. Absolutely the only issue I had was batteries. Because some computer safeguard requires a completely full charge, I ended up replacing batteries a couple or three times.

I liked your video. But, Bloor bought some land and got the Triumph logo and rights with it. There was a substantive gap when no bikes were produced. In fact although owned by a Brit the company can no longer call itself a manufacturer of British bikes as they don't produce a high enough percentage in the UK. There was a purposeful drive to employ Eastern European staff in the Hinckley site for quite a while and whilst i have zero problems with this it has come at the cost of local employment. It's all pretty sad.
