First impressions of this new motorcycle. Nothing technical, just first impressions that any new owner will probably have.

After checking several videos on the T120 and the Speedmaster, one thing about the Triumph engines is having to remove the cams the set the valve clearance. To adjust the valves the shims under the cams have to be replaced. Most bikes I’ve had with shim/ bucket setup, a tool is available to depress the spring and slip the shim out. Apparently there isn’t room in the valve cover area without removing the cams. If you are mechanically inclined it doesn’t appear to be too difficult. But I’m sure shop rates will get in your pocket.

I did not realize that was the case. Ill ask our local Triumph dealer about that and see what its going to cost.

I really enjoy being able to easily wheel it around the garage and back it out. A lot of folks say this is a heavy bike. They probably have never ridden a Harley Road Glide or that gigantic Yamaha Venture touring bike that weights 1,000 lbs. Light and small is the answer.

I've got the same bike, same color. Love it love it love it. Nice review of the bike. I agree with the anemic horn, lol. I love the torque of the engjne. I'm getting 59 to 60 mpg with mine. It's a do it all motorcycle. I'm 64 and totally agree with your assessment of the bike. It's great. Enjoy it and be safe. Edit: the stock pirelli tires suck! Did you get the michelins?

The tire are almost brand new, but I'm aware of the need to switch to the Michelins or Avon if available. I sold my heavy cruiser bike and bought the T120. Wow what a difference. I was almost to the point of quitting riding, but the T120 is so easy to ride Ill be in the saddle for a long time to come. Thanks for the comment and hope you subscribed. More T120 content is in the works.

@ridingonabudget I tried to get the Avon's but they where really hard to find in the u.s. I ended up with Bridgestone battlax tires as I've heard good things about them on the Bonnevilles. I've yet to get them installed because life sometimes gets in the way. Yeah I subscribed, lol. I have a channel also.

None so far. It is a little hard to get my toe under it to shift up with boots on. Other than that no problems.
