Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport Rebuild

in this video we start putting the tiger 1050 sport back together, reseal the rocker cover. get the harness back in and get the front end all rebuilt and tank back on. And not to mention a wrestling match with the oil filter.

Great video again. I use the oil filter removal cup, which makes changing so much easier. I noticed you removed the wiring harness to help access the valve cover. Good tip. I should have done the same, rather than me resorting to strapping the cables and hoses up with ductape! Looking forward to the start-up.

Thanks, yeah I should 100% of got a proper cup to remove oil filter. Would of made my life a lot easier, I’ll definitely be investing in a set.

Great video,im saving them to my playlist for future reference,I have been debating about fitting the thicker cables but didn't know where to get them from, so I will now get some and fit before the bike comes out from hibernation next month.Big thank you ,keep them coming👍

@@DGMotorcycles starting from cold It doesnt seem to crank over as fast as i'd expect ( Im also a plant engineer ,dont like the term " fitter" we are more than that )👌

@@xl250mon5yeah mate I’d double check your CCA in battery if all good these pudding cables will help turn it over faster. Haha it’s never really bothered me if someone calls me a fitter. We know what we are worth 😀

I'd check the manual as most bike I know you don't screw in the dip stick to get the correct oil level reading, you just rest it on the filler neck.

Yeah I did refer to manual and says to screw it in fully then check. But yeah like you say most are wipe clean and dip.

Love the rebuild vids. Learning so much. I have a first gen Sport. Just wondering how you get hold of the upgraded cables. Not clear in the forums. yep always fill the oil filter, just makes sense to me. Can't wait til you hit the start button!
