I’ve got this bike in red with a lot of accessories, didn’t bother with a top box though. Toured Europe on it twice now, once In 2023 and then 2024. Used a Lomo roll bag on the back instead of a top box. Lomo are brilliant used in conjunction with rok straps. I changed the front sprocket 16t for a 17t and that sorted out the short gearing between 1st and 2nd. People say they’d have liked a cruise control but personally I don’t feel one is necessary. Never even use the one on the car. For the price this bike really is exceptional value especially as the build quality is so good. Touring I was doing a lot of miles and mostly very comfortable. The ability to switch between mph and kph and road or rain mode is very good too. I switched of automatic cancellation on the indicators as I felt it was cancelling too soon but that’s just my opinion. All In all it’s a great bike.

I sat on a blue Tiger 660 at the dealer. Very nice bike. I think it will be my next bike.👍

This is a great review! I had just watched a different review by a content creator who answered one of your Instagram questions then went to "Home" on YT and there you were as one of the suggestions! I enjoyed your style and by the way, your country looks like a beautiful place to be and ride in. Keep It On Two Wheels!

Thanks for the comment it really made my day! Oh yes i think you were referring to the revzilla daily rider I’m so glad they finally put one of my questions up haha. I just had to make it interesting enough. Glad you enjoyed I try my best not to be biased as it’s all done as a hobby as in unsponsored. Do let me know if there’s any way I could improve or add tho.

@@RUBBERNMETAL Yes, it was the Revzilla review. Your content is on-par for sure. I admire the ability to flow through details verbally. I have attempted to make two vids here on YT yet I botched one of them and posted it anyway. My brain froze during filming because I didn't have notes or practice editing. I think that's what it takes is a format or script/notes and some practice and of course some good knowledge of the subject matter.

I've added Zard full exhaust, Nitron racing suspension, quick shifter and a DNK ECU flash. If you think this bike is fun to ride, with the upgrades the bike is amazing! Unleashed the beast! I'll probably add a 17 tooth front sprocket as well. Want to Mello out the motor on the top end. They could have designed a more comfortable seat IMO. Waiting for a more comfortable aftermarket seat. The breaks are OK but front brembos are on my list on upgrades.

Nice!! The owner of the bike I rode just added a quickshifter and a 17 front tooth sprocket I’m gonna try it out in a few weeks. An exhaust is definitely in the order of things to install. You think it needs new brakes? I thought it’s pretty decent. Will you replace the bracket with radials or get axial brembos?
@MrApplebumPS
@MrApplebumPS Жыл бұрын
The jury is still out on the brakes. The stock brakes aren't bad. If I do replace them it will be with Brembos. Let me know how the new 17 tooth gear feels. I have one ready to go on. Would like to know if the bike loses the Low end torque and if it mellows the engine out on the top end. 🙏

Try the quick shifter. It adds more melody to the already sweet song! I've been riding the mountains of Thailand for many months, and this machine always brings a smile to your face!

It does have the quickshifter now and it’s sublime!! Change the sprocket too it makes the bike feel like a street triple with longer range gears.

It is a good looking bike. I wouldn’t say yes definitely as it’s not exactly intimidating but it does take a little getting used to with regards to the weight, height and the power delivery can be abrupt if you’re not careful.

Would you take this over your Honda 650? If yes/no why??
@RUBBERNMETAL

Tough choice, I think for now no but there are moments where I wish the CB was more like the tiger. I really loved having a softer suspension for rougher urban roads, storage box at the back is definitely convenient, lower end torque is good, and also the taller and more relaxed stance is more suitable as a daily machine. However I love how cheap it is to run the CB. the screaming inline 4 makes me feel I’m on a superbike when needed. Also the triple is ‘naughty’ and I always want to ride fast whereas you can have mellow moments on the CB by keeping the revs low.

In my opinion, the riding position is a bit too racy on the cb650r for my taste. I don't want to be crouched over doing ten tenths all the time. The triumphs are more relaxed
@Rodders1
@Rodders1 2 ай бұрын
@@xpusostomosI used to ride a Honda CBR 600 and felt the position wasn’t good for me, sold it and bought a BMW F800st, better but still not as upright for really long journeys as I’d have liked. Saw the tiger sport 660 at the bike show in Birmingham England and managed to try one out the same day, instantly impressed and bought one a few weeks later. Still got it and 11000 odd miles on it now.

I just wondering...what is the comforatble cruising speed at highway?. Can it do 160 kmh with comfortable and less turbulence?.
@neokoroshi
@neokoroshi Жыл бұрын
You will feel a little vibration on the handle bar at 160kmh and no turbulence. It feels very comfortable at any speed below 140kmh. But taller riders need a larger screen though. 😅
@RUBBERNMETAL
@RUBBERNMETAL Жыл бұрын
At 160 the revs a bit high where the bars are buzzy as mentioned by N D in the comment above and yea 110-130kmh is the sweet spot. There’s too much wind if you ride at too high of a speed for too long anyways to enjoy the ride. Power wise it’s adequate no issues it’s just a matter of comfort and setup.

There are no 'wiggles' in my buttons, on mine. They are Firm and clicky, like a Playstation controller. :) (maybe its just his gloves) This guy likes the suspension, (I like the suspension) but another guy on a video says..."eeehhhh' Id have to upgrade." No! Triumph got this right!
@RUBBERNMETAL
@RUBBERNMETAL Жыл бұрын
I’m just being nitpicking. The buttons on the triumphs are probably one of the best and most solid. But on the other hand honda makes better switchgear even on their cheaper scooters like adv150, that’s what I was comparing to. Not a Honda fanboy but I do own a Honda I just love how they do switch gears.
@robshef718
@robshef718 Жыл бұрын
@@RUBBERNMETAL guess the objectively is not going to work? The buttons are solid and firm and click like a play stations buttons. And do what they need to do. You go ahead and get the honda for the 'buttons' and I will take the better Triumph for its overall quality and performance. :)
@RUBBERNMETAL
@RUBBERNMETAL Жыл бұрын
@@robshef718 it was good enough for me I had no real issue with the triumph’s buttons. I got the Honda and happy with it and I’d still be happy if I have the triumph. Ive swapped my Honda with the triumph for a few weeks at a time btw. So kinda have access to both :)

(Btw I was just replying to your comment earlier - don’t worry I take any comment openly) I’m not a skilled rider or a journalist, I do reviews for fun and from the few bikes I’ve ridden I find this one hits the right spot for me hence i was slightly overwhelmed. I’ve ridden a few more ‘expensive’ bikes and and remember being unimpressed and uncomfortable… but then again i haven’t tried the highly praised GS, maybe that’ll give me a different perspective.

I’d be all in in this, but it’s just ugly to me. I love everything else. Don’t know why manufacturers can’t make a good looking bike in this class. The front ends just kill it. Rest is great
